I was so happy when Garnet was revealed as a Fusion and was super happy seeing she was a fusion of a Ruby and Sapphire i brought it up to my parents and we all had a big laugh and smile about it. My father's birthstone is a Ruby, and my mother's birthstone is a Sapphire, and my birthstone is a Garnet so in a way our family is represented in the show.

One of my favorite details about Garnet is that she never asks questions because Rose told her to "never question this" and in the movie, cotton candy garnet only asks questions.

What I like a lot about Garnet is that she was the most friendly one when it comes to Greg. I think Garnet is the most healthy of healthy relation ships, everyone fights with their loved ones and they both deal with it healthy! They argue a little then spent a short time apart to regain there cool. They talk with friends and think for a while until they make a decision. Everything they do is so healthy I can't even!!

Not only is Garnet a good representation of a queer relationship, it's a good representation of a relationship, period. I know it's been changing slowly but so many cartoons treat adult (aka parent figures) relationships as them being trapped together, hating one another. Also, garnet shows a great portrayal of healthy friendship (being able to set boundaries with pearl, expressing her displeasure and anger and still being able to heal the friendship on terms she can feel comfortable with)

Also, when Steven was explaining Aquamarine to the gems and when asked why she drew herself Garnet’s response of “I love myself” makes sense because she is the embodiment of love itself. I love how Sapphire and Ruby are shown to have different ways of handling things. Like when Pearl lied to them so they'd fuse vs when Pink/Rose lied about her identity. In the first case? Ruby was the one who took it the hardest but in the second case? Sapphire took it the hardest. Just something I loved about them. Relatively the same problem but depending on the circumstances? The more extreme response can be either. Though heres something I wanna know: How long has our ruby been severing sapphire? I mean romances don't happen that quick. So I'm guessing they knew eachother longer and thus a bond grew which lead to the fusion.

Something I’m surprised was missing was the combination elements, being Ruby’s pyrokinesis and Saphire’s cryokinesis merging into Garnet’s electrokinesis. There’s also how Ruby’s gauntlet merges with Saphire’s dagger to give the gauntlets some extra sharp points

So here's a lovely thing me and my vocal teacher figured out. I have singing lessons every Monday and this week we were covering mixed voice. Basically it's the in between of your head voice and your chest voice. One of the songs we've been working on is "This Will Be The Day" from RWBY. It's extremely hard to match my vocals with the singer and it's hard to hit the high notes and give a sense of power at the same time. This wouldn't usually be a problem for me but whenever I add a sense of power in my singing, I'm usually using my chest voice. Like with the song "Hellfire" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, I use my chest voice and sing it in alto to get more power. I was having a hard time wrapping my head around the mixed voice so when she described it as vocal fusion, it clicked. In a way, mixed voice is exactly like Garnet. Ruby uses her chest voice a lot and is filled with so much anger and power, while Sapphire uses her head voice and is more calm, I wouldn't say weaker though, she's extremely powerful with her voice too. Garnet is a mix between both, a fusion of head voice and chest voice. She has a lot of power, but she's also calm. Anyway, my vocal teacher loved it so we call it the Garnet voice.

My brother's birthstone is Garnet, mine is Zircon, my dad's Amethyst, and my mom's a Diamond. It actually matches up pretty well because my dad likes food and is a little silly, my mom likes being the "queen" of the house and is always cleaning to make sure it's perfect, my brother has a tendency to go emotionless and quiet, and I really want to be a lawyer when I grow up.
