Another version of the legend is is about two poor sisters. A younger and older sister. Disclaimer, this story is a lil bit gory😅 Usually they both were visably misarable, mainly because they were starving most of the time, but one day the youngest started coming back happy, and looked well plenished. Which made the oldest sister suspicious of her younger sister. She came to the conclusion that her younger sister was eating well without her. Which made the oldest ferious. So out of pure rage, she ate her younger sister. Eventually after doing that horrible act, she found a secret stash of money hidden in the house that her younger sister saved for both of them. And the guilt came flooding to the elder sister. Because of all her guilt and her greed, a mouth grew in the back of her head. The mouth of her younger sister. She now has to feed the mouth or she will have horrible pain in her head. And her sister will screach and scream. The legend says, that if she is un able to satisfy her younger sisters hunger, her younger sister takes controll and hunts down humans to eat. This is most likely because of the older sister eating the younger one out of spite. I actually have no idea where i heard this version, but i did lol .

It is the best version I've heard so far! The bit about hunting people made me think of "no-face" from spirited away, when he turned into a monster and started eating everything.

I heard this version as well! I've also seen a game take on this story and when playing it the screeching heard from the mouth is quite unsettling while you can hear the eldest in agony. Unfortunate yet intriuging!

Yokai-inspired dolls are the best and this gal is no exception! She's beautiful! Also, fun fact: shark "teeth" are larger, sharper forms of their scales! She looks like a fashion model! Perhaps she's a warning sent to model agencies who mistreat their models during shoots? Or, after turning into a yokai, she joined a yokai-based fashion company to build representation for fellow yokai in a urban fantasy type story?

I can imagine her as a serious character part of a main group from an anime, like they gotta hunt demons and such and whenever it's her time to fight her head turns backwards and her body moves like an animal's to fight off monsters. I imagine the animation for her first time turning being very smooth, showing off the bones dislocating and contorting so her devilish jaw can be in the front and her legs and arms move like a freak wolf running towards it's prey. She would be the reserved character who keeps her past to herself, the mysterious character in the group.

She is gorgeous, and I absolutely love the way you went about unifying her look, complete with the shoes (and your reasoning for making their teeth look more grimey was perfect, haha). The only thing that I would maybe, maaaybe change would be to give her thicker braids, and maybe six or eight of them, but this is just nitpicking; four thin braids are fine as well. She looks excellent!!

How about if the girl was a mother who only fed her kids but instead of having a stepdaughter that she didn't feed, she didn't feed herself and so the mouth grew to take care and feed the mom, since the mom wasn't doing it. Hello! I loved this project so much that it changed me from an occasional watcher/lurker 😄into a subscriber. OMG, that precious Haori single-handedly made me hit the subscribe button. I don't know where you managed to score the perfect indigo-hued fabric with a perfectly-to-scale Yagasuri pattern, but WOW. 🥰 I could go on and on about everything I love about this piece, but I don't want to take up too much of your time. Suffice to say, you are BRILLIANT. 😍I've had the idea of recreating Yuki Onna in the back of my mind for years (more like decades) now, and I'd love to see your Futakuchi Onna have a least one, if not several, "Yokai Shimai". 😊 Thank you so much for your continuous inspiration! ❤

That was before I saw the full-on ensemble you created for your Nakime-san, and I am blown away. 😂You even took the time to create a full juban, whereas I'm prone to cheating (just a little), and will add a juban-like hem, sleeves and collar (plus han-eri) to give the appearance of undergarments. This is what I appreciate about your craft; you take absolutely no shortcuts whatsoever. She could be a girl who came from a poor family and when she turned 10, she was adopted by distant relatives. When she turned 16 she ran away from home and lived on the street for a long time. After a few years she got a job and the mouth behind her head started to develop and the young woman started to wear a hood to hide her mouth. The young woman swore to herself that she would protect poor young women from bad people. what do you think ? I hope you liked it, and that it was good.

I just spray one or two layers of white or grey primer and then apply 2-3 layers of pan pastels (in the color I want the skin to be) and msc - great results for me, without any brush strokes and I didn't have problems with pencils whatsoever when I used it on heads. They find themselves chipping a tooth on the back of their head, causing them pain when they eat, and have to find a yoki dentist to help them, though spend the whole sesson on their back while the yoki dentist and their assistant help this uncertain new yoki with their new mouth.

Hello! First of all, thank you very much for the kind words 💖 In my experience enamel paint holds way longer and stronger, than any other mediums I tried. On my borg queen and Nakime dolls it's still in the perfect state. However, if a joint is too tight, it might get scratched off immediately, but only in that one particular spot. For example on my Malenia doll I used enamel paint on her metal arm and one of the legs. The other arm and leg were blushed with pastels. Enamel paint got only one scratch on the knee, because there's too much friction (can be fixed with sanding though). The joints I blushed with pastels look as if they were never blushed 🥲 but it's okay because I didn't change her skin tone 😁. The only problems I see with enamel paint is that there's way less colors available and you need to buy a thinner for it.

The idea I came up with is very DARK, and I would happily share it if you'd like to hear, but I will refrain unless asked because it could be triggering to some people.

I'm not that easy to trigger, so if you'd like to share it, I'm listening 😁 after all it's just a fiction, right? 👀

@@DollAfterlife Okay! Please delete this comment if it will in any way impact your video and its earning power. Trigger Warning!! Eating disorders. Athletic Trauma. Grooming/Molestation. Self Harm/Sui-side - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I see our little beauty in elite athletics from a very early age. She's amazing and watching her dance/tumble/sportsball/whatever would have people in tears. Then, around 12, she starts to develop, as one does, and Coach takes notice. Starts to give her a little bit of special attention, which, over a few years, grows and grows until there are long stretches of time when they are alone. Her parents are so proud of her, and the fact that Coach sees so much potential in their little star that they don't ask the right questions, they don't see the signs that their darling is drowning in this attention. In an effort to forestall development Star stops eating, can't grow without fuel, and only consumes what is forced upon her; the bare minimum to maintain life. After a while her body stops telling her it is hungry at all, but her mind, trying to focus on anything other than her situation, never stops thinking of food; her brain becomes ravenous. Around her 15th birthday Coach breeches the final threshold, and our girl is left entirely shattered after the experience. She swallows the entire contents of her parent's medicine cabinet, and lies down for a nap. When she rises she finds that she's become the image from her inner life mixed with the never-sated Monster the last three years have created.

@@nicischmidt7572 your story is pretty dark but I like it. Our life is not made of cotton candy and your story reflects many problems people face in reality. Kids and teenagers are more likely to become victims because they can't defend themselves and dependent on adults. In your story my favorite part was about parents projecting their ambitious on their kid, totally ignoring her needs. I think this problem is more common than we might think.

I LOVE THIS! You never go for the easy or predictable option, and I love that. My favourite parts were her wired plaits, her second mouth and the fact that her boot-teeth don't care about dental hygiene. I dont know why - but that comment really made me laugh. Great job, my friend. :)
