Thank you so much to the grains that pointed out there was a bad word on the self adhesive minis. I was absolutely mortified when I was told what it meant. The scene has been submitted to KZfaq for blurring. I am lucky enough to be around people who would never say words like this and thus never learned of its meaning or existence. I appreciate you grains for being so kind in educating me so gently. ❤

The "artist" of the painting is Claude Monet, and Giverny was his the name of the small village just outside Paris where he lived, had his garden and painted. He is one of the most famous of the Impressionists from the late 19th century.

I'm glad you pointed that out cause I was ready to shout it's a Monet painting in miniture while watching the video. Of course she can't hear me but I find myself doing that even watching t.v. shows. Things like "don't go in the basement you idiot." and "He's a total douche bag. What are you thinking?"

Etsy has gotten pretty bad about allowing drop shippers to sell items when they aren't handmade. So there's a chance you could have bought from a drop shipper without realizing

@@flothedutchie1622you gotta filter out the garbage. But I've had a bad experience with esty...I didn't like their product...gave it a low rating with my reasons ie. Slime scent too strong...not the best. The person TOLD ME TO RATE IT HIGHER AND WHINED. Never again. Don't whine to me when you messed up. Just learn from it. Yiesh people.

I had to move my buisness off etsy because of it. The whole point of etsy was "hand made" goods and antiques and allowing drop shippers to move in destroyed so many of the small businesses etsy was supposed to be built for

@@Wolf_Fleuretnot to mention they allowed essentially eBay sellers to sell used items on Etsy or resellers to sell marked up collectables Last year I was searching for handmade outfits for build a bear stuffed animals as I'd gotten some handmade stuff targeted at build a bear sized stuffed animals and found resellers selling bab tagged items some were no longer available at bab and some were uncharged items still available on babs online store. I had a wtf moment and felt disappointed that I now have to slog through resellers and eBay sellers on a artists site. I don't mind 3d printed stuff as that will counts as homemade but selling other companies stuff felt like copyright infringement on Etsy. I've also seen official Disney merch being sold for upcharge there XD.

for anyone wondering ASDA is a british supermarket and george is a clothing and accessory partner associated with ASDA, double strength is a juice that you dont need to put too much in a cup then you dilute it with water

Jackie, darlin’, I’m so glad that KZfaq has now blurred a portion of those paper labels from Etsy. That word is as offensive to Indigenous people as the “N” word is to African Americans / Canadians. The Etsy seller should also get a bit of “feedback” for even SELLING it in the first place.

I had no idea of this either, you learn something new all the time. I had to look it up to get some info on it. It’s crazy to think that someone would even put that out there like that. I could play devils advocate and say that they also didn’t know what it meant(although I doubt it with the picture there too), or the same way that black people use the N word casually. Or they could be indigenous too and not take it seriously and I’m guessing it’s not a well known term to the world. But I get a sense that neither are the reason in this case. I actually just feel really sad about it tbh.😢

The miniature painting is definitely the prize of the whole lot! Clearly hand painted, hand-crafted wooden frame, and finished off on the back with brown paper, the way a professional framer would have done! And the info on the back is spot-on what you would see on a real oil painting. You should see if you can identify the artist, and let them know how beautiful their work is! And DEFINITELY keep it!

Its a replica mini version of Monet's work. Should check out his other paintings as he is a known impressionism painter during the impressionism movement.

The squash is a drink you dilute. It's double strength because it's concentrated so you need to use half as much as the ordinary strength squash. Means you get more squash in a smaller bottle. Hope that makes sense.

I’m sorry you can’t do many crafts anymore. I enjoyed when you sculpted and customized and resin crafted. At least you can still do some resin crafting stuff! The little Monet painting has a number and a signature on the back. Some time ago I saw a video from a creator I subscribed. She was at a store with some crafted things and a museum I think. There was an automat where you put 5 dollars in and then you choose by number some crafted things from lokal artisans/artists. The items had the same numbers on the back like your little painting and were signed in the same way like your painting. You are definately the owner of some handpainted art from a real Artist ❤ Awesome 😊

As a miniature dollhouse builder/maker I would have been over the moon about that luxury box for that price!! And you didn’t buy a specific theme box so you can’t be mad that you were sent a mishmash of all different seasons and holidays. $54 for that box is great!

Yeah I was like “You bought two separate boxes so you can’t value them both at 80. Only at the price it actually costs.”. It’s like if I bought two 25 Barbie Movie dolls at Walmart. I have to judge them by price individually, not in total because they didn’t both cost 50, they were 25 each.

Squash in the UK is a concentrated drink, so double strength would mean that you need less squash to water to create a drink. It is usually a tenth squash to water ratio.

Thank you for pointing this out. I had exactly the same reaction and you can be SURE that if Jackie knew how offensive that word is, those images wouldn’t have even appeared on screen. I hope she addresses it in a future video, perhaps. Etsy also needs to be made aware.

Not gonna lie, if you happen to not want those pattern and seed prints, I will happily take them off your hands XD My mom used to sew and grow flowers, and I literally recognize some of those (specifically Simplicity 4407, because she actually *had* that one and made me a blouse from it) so I would absolutely make those up for my dollhouse (yes, I'm almost 40 and I have a dollhouse. I feel no shame for this lmao). Failing that, if there's a brand on the prints so I can buy them somewhere, I would be super grateful to know ^_^

The double strength thing is about the concentration of the squash, you add water to taste, but water is added in the processing at the factory, then someone worked out it's much more cost effective to not add the water in the factory and ship the higher concentrate strait out.

It's also great for kids parties/bbq etc, as you take one bottle and then get way more drink depending on nearby water sources. Our tap water in the uk is generally pretty decent so it's easy to add for those who want a juice drink instead of plain water.

I think the rooster and blue parrot in the expensive kit might actually be (supposed to be) ceramic birds, that can be placed to decorate someone's house or used as paperweights. My grandma had a bunch of those, though they were all unpainted white porcelain. If that's really they case, they actually *are* to scale with the roses.

The leafy blue set is a tea set. The it’s a teapot, sugar bowl, cup and tray to hold the teapot and sugar bowl. Very British! Just missing the sliver spoon lol

It was on the gift wrap at a bit before 14 minutes. You can see that something is blurred out, which is where the word was. If you sort by recent comments and then scroll to the bottom, there is a comment identifying what the word is and why it's offensive.

I think the cheap mystery box was superior here, because the expensive one was just cheap miniature porcelain and print outs. With the cheap one, you can always customize the plastic boxes, if you get doubles. It looks like the cutout cake boxes were literally just printed on the card. So you'd have to cut the round window, too?

No the flat part should be at the bottom. In india we use similar burner made-up of clay. Instead of candles we use wooden sticks and shavings to burn

You did get your value out of the $54 box. Dollhouse wallpaper retails for between $3 &$5 per sheet. The Monet painting retails for $12.

I just bought the Walmart brand mini shopping cart and a shopping basket. I absolutely love the shopping cart. It's pretty big and came with coffee cup and cup holder and reusable shopping bags. Love these videos.

I know it may not be your cup of tea, but from my view point with the kind of wall paper and items in the expensive set would look amazing in an 1850 ranch house on the prairie. They used what they had and did their best to keep sets, but so much breaks... Hugs from Esquimalt

I do like that the Asda packages don't use individually wrapped surprises as that cuts down on packaging that may not be recycled depending on where you live. But, I feel like they should include more items per basket for the price.

Squash is what we call cordial. You add water to drink. The double strength stuff is made so you use a fraction of the concentrated cordial to water. It makes the bottle last longer, but also means you hopefully drink more water and use less of the squash.

I love both of these. Littles would love setting up a store for their barbies with the cheaper boxes. The more expensive box would be great for doll houses. I have priced doll house products and you would pay much more for individual items. I also appreciated soooo much less packaging to go to the landfill.

Uk squash it make by adding a little amount in a glass and top up with water. Double strength means you use less squash with the same amount of water for the same flavour.

I like the random mugs. I'd make one of those hook contraptions people hang their mugs on. either one you can put on the wall (behind the coffee maker/ tea kettle) or a tiny standing one as decor on a kitchen counter

Most of those little ceramic things used to be able to be bought at the Dollar tree in whole sets. The ones with the cups and pitchers and stuff.

Lots of people who do miniature stuff actually make the items. There is usually more pleasure derived in the making than in the finished product.

Double strength is a more concentrated stronger juice so you would only use a small amount when mixing with water x

I literally just learned what Squash was yesterday while watching a UK KZfaq influencer. Squash is a concentrated drink you add water to so when It says double strength it means you get twice as many drinks than regular strength.

Deffo going to Asda tomorrow 😁 and double strength squash means that you need less of the concentrate to water so little bit in a glass and you put water on top so y get a fruity drink
