I need this. I had a Tri-Mal with dislocation and syndesmotic rupture ten years ago. The one pin from my tight rope in my tibia plate sticks out. It wasn't seated probably in the hole, and if I tap on it I feel sparks across the top of my foot. I get a lot of pain in my foot along that pathway and when it's really bad it goes from my toes up the side of my calf to my knee.

I have the same thing. After I broke the fibula. However Neurologist which they suck..Their answer is: CRPS. However the real problem is Nerve entrapment..There are very few doctors who listen to the patient. I saw 7 Ankle surgeons. Only 1 doctor listen to me.

How do I know if my peroneal nerve is compressed? Can one have a foot drop and not have compressed peroneal nerve?

I have had pain from the fibular head down to my lower outer leg for years. Recently started having numbness and tingling on the top of my foot but was told because I have a negative tinel's sign and normal EMG/nerve conduction tests-it's not peripheral neuropathy. I'm seeing a neurologist in 2 weeks and am so scared it could be MS. Does peroneal nerve entrapment ever not show up on tests? I've had pain in that area since a foot injury in 2014 that lead to tight casts around my leg and prolonged bed rest, which was when my symptoms started. I've built up to 10, 000 steps a day and hoped it would improve with activity but it's getting worse. I'm hopeful it's peroneal nerve entrapment because MS scares me but I'm told if it was entrapment it would've shown up on the nerve tests. Back MRI not significant. Also think top of foot numbness could be from tight boots and not related to common peroneal entrapment. Also, do you take montana medicaid at all? I'm 34
