So, when doing this race% the fixed seed ensures you always have the correct start, right? Does this also meaning the only real failure points (due to RNG and not execution) are on the character swaps to trick Jason out of the cabin or are those fixed too? If that's still a problem, what's your best guess for the run dying there?

@@Raistlin212Speedruns Hey there! Those are also fixed. Really the only thing that kills runs in this seed is Jason running away. That comes down to a matter of learning Jason's route.

Hi there! Thank you for the kind words! Ok let's get into those questions =) So on day 2, if Jason runs during the 3rd cycle, it is because he hasn't been hit enough to stay. Jason will not run if he has 7 or less hit points remaining. That's why I try to use the 9x9 method when fighting him on day 2(9 hits each encounter or an average of 9 between 1st and 2nd cycle) And yes! Those numbers are scary accurate. I want to say over the past 2 and 1/2 years running the game, I've amassed over 60k resets. If I had to convert my actual legit completed runs into a percent it would be something like 0.05. Lol. Sorry, I realized I missed the very bottom of your comment. So to practice, I will use the everdrive, but for actual runs I always use the real cartridge. Fun fact, it's actually the same cartridge I got for Christmas as a kid. =)

@@PGHGuitarGuy Yeah I was curious about the % I experienced, so I divided 5 by 858 and it was about a .5% chance. You weren't lying with that "Reset Mania" icon! However the game is really fun when you get the seed, I find myself resetting over and over for that "one more chance". I have an NES, but the last time I used it was over 20 years ago, and I had to set the cartridge very specifically into the NES otherwise it would constantly blink and not work. Do you use your original NES on an old CRT? Currently I am recording blocks of attempts with Bandicam, though I do have the OBS Installer ready to go. I have a Twitch, but currently have just used it to watch other speedrunners. My PC isn't horrible but it's on the lower end, so I've been debating streaming to see if it helps. Currently I use a Lagarith Lossless codec that gives really good quality videos, but it lags my PC slightly when recording because of the high bitrate it records at.
