hey team, for the PS 00, if input is 0, then NS is 00 and output is '0'. For PS 01, if input is 1, then NS is again 00 with output '1'. Then how in the Moore diagram only 0 is written as output inside the state?

when you are in the state of "01" and the output is 1, you move to the state of "00" but the output is 0 in there, not 1 as it is shown on the left diagram?

Do we have to write the same output for one state circle? For instance, in this video, both of outputs are 0 from the state circle "00". From "01", also both of outputs are 1. Can't i write the different outputs like the edge from "00" to itself having 0 as its output and the edge from "00" to "11" having 1 as its output. Transitions in example are random, but if you want to do it correctly you just find what happens for each combination of state and input. For example if both flipflops are set to 1 (Qa=1, Qb=1; state "11") and you put A=1 Then that will make Ta = (1 and 1) = 1 so left flipflop will toggle at falling edge of the clock pulse; Qa changes from 1 to 0. The right flipflop receives Tb = (0 or 0) = 0 and so it will not toggle; Qb remains 1. (Tb is affected by the PREVIOUS (starting) value for not(Qa) and not the new one, because the new one hasn't yet traveled through the wires) >>>>>>>>>>> state 11 changes to 01 if A=1. etc. for the other 7 transitions.

i have a question. in the first diagram, the state "01" has two outputs (0,1) with the same input(0). there can actually be no state machine, in which its states yield different outputs with one same input. can anyone explain me this?

Everyone has this confusion at around 7 min saying how can 0 be put under 00. The thing is, for a moore machine the output is only dependent on the present state and not on the inputs. Thus for a state 00 there will be a fixed output (in this case: 0) irrespective of inputs given. This error/ambiguity arose only in the video because the state diagram drawn is incorrect. The simple explanation is to just put the ONE AND ONLY output associated with a state, inside that state's circular bubble. If there exist 2 outputs for a state, the state diagram is not for a moore machine.

I think he created it randomly, even though, that case can be given. Some cases may not happen never, in function of the buttons or the circuit, so you might want to avoid showing them in the moore state diagram.
