I sanitized everything first. Then, after baby was here, I used the medela reusable bags a couple of time to sanitize. After that, used really hot water and soap

Ugh kinda bothered by Matt’s comment when he said you’re gonna be blindsided by the baby. You are very well prepared and no body is ever ready until they actually have one and go through it. You are going to be an amazing mama and you BOTH will be learning how to be parents! Can’t wait to see everything once the baby is born and you’re going to do great ❤

I wash and then use the bottle sterilizer once it’s full, but I don’t have to do it often because we exclusively breastfeed! It’s good for the baby and good for not having so many dishes😂 I live in North Jersey and yeah I’ve cried quite a few times over the paperwork it’s so crazy! My husband is unemployed so it’s been rough not getting paid but we finally got paid this week! The app for the debit card they send is also the worst😅

yes we haven't started using any bottles but i also decided not to get a sterilizer! I will probably continue to boil water for a while until he isn't so young! the paperwork is awful and i feel like i have accepted the fact that I probably wont get paid for the week and a half i took before baby came!!! it all is so awful!!!

Sarah so sorry about the paperwork. I get what you are saying, I would be frustrated also. It is nice you spent some time relaxing after all of that. I think having your family connection is so beautiful and this bond is only going to grow stronger when your sweet little one makes it into this world. I love how much Little Frankie adds to your world and to ours. I know you have been a wonderful mommy to Little Frankie and that says it all God bless.

Sarah you are in for one BIG surprise when baby arrives%!, You didn’t do smiling labels when you sent out wedding invites, shower invites etc - could have made your task at this time much easier. But don’t worry girl you will get much more efficient as a new mama!!!!

Haha I’m also a night time person and want to clean everything 😂 Also to make it easier they sell bottle sterilizers so u won’t have to mix with ur dishwasher stuff or boil water each time. U can sterilize them once a day just cuz babies don’t have strong immune system with germs once they turn one years old then you can wash unless he’s already switched to zippy cups!

Yes I thought about getting a sterilizer and decided against it! i feel like it’s something I would only use the first few weeks and didn’t feel like it was necessary! i may change my mind and get one if I think it’s too much though!

After 4 kids, the bottle sterilizer was a must! But I also bottle fed all of my littles so an essential for me at least. You'll get to the point where you just rinse them off haha. But for newborn, yes I sterilized. You are doing great. My biggest piece of advice is to just take it easy. Try not to stress. Everything will come naturally once baby boy is here.

Thank you!! I might purchase the sterilizer but will try to do it manually first! im sure it will all come naturally when he’s here!
