@@mountainair Two years ago I would have agreed with you. I was under the impression they were just a ragtag, heII bent, clan of thugs. After seeing the logistical planning and strategy displayed during their attack on 7th, I feeI they may survive. With the brutality of the bombing campaign I assumed they would crumbled within 6 months. This hasn’t slowed down at all and once election time comes around Biden’s going to put a lot of pressure on them to wrap it up. I guess we’ll just have to see.

All due respect to Lt Col Nagl but military strategies don’t really matter without good cause & reasons for the war to begin with. It’s very difficult to win a war based on lies & ill conceived objectives. We have lots of people still talking about getting rid of Hamas! Not happening. 1. no one would be talking about a two state solution, we’re it not for Hamas. 2. Hamas is effectively fighting & winning this war against a brutally oppressive criminal regime that’s being in violation of international law since 1948. But yet we’re still calling Hamas the bad guy! Imagine that. Vietnam, 50,000 Americans died in a war based on LIES! As Daniel Ellsberg proved with 700 pgs of docs. Iraq, WMD’s more lies. Regardless of whether they did so how does that change what needs to happen now? It doesn’t change it. Governments make mistakes. At least in Israel if you disapprove with your government you can voice it and vote for an opposing person. You cannot do that in Gaza or any Arab country for that matter.

I remember a quote once from a foreign military advisor about the US military in the 1980s. This was when the US was trying to help Lebanon so we sent the Marines there for an unclear reason and many got killed. The foreign diplomat said the US was really good at fighting elephants but was terrible at fighting snakes, and Lebanon is full of snakes. Israel on the other hand is really good at fighting snakes, maybe the best in the world. So, it's not Israel that needs to learn from US mistakes, it's the US that needs to learn from Israel's successes.
