I agree. That scene was absolutely horrifying considering only 2 or 3 cats required an EpiPen and then she filled his room with over a dozen cats DESPITE HIS WARNING OF SEVERE ALLERGIES and covered him in aromatic olives to attract even more ☠️ Like, that was premeditated. She literally planned on covering him head to toe with what he's allergic enough to require carrying around emergency injectable meds for, just because she got angry enough to throw an adult tantrum over his refusal to bow down to her lack of planning (he booked and paid for the villa first, was willing to share it, but she was just SO determined to have it to herself that she tried to basically kill him for it). She could've suffocated him with those cats and actually killed him (she also was shown to be happy to call the cops on him after getting the locks changed, that's some grudge-level rage) just because she wanted her post-boyfriend vacation to go well. That's nightmare fuel.

Okay, you warned us. The movie's already off to a bad start when the movie expects us to believe that a third-grade teacher would be having their students read Romeo and Juliet for their syllabus, given the subject material, or that in a rom-com, that R+J is an aspirational love story. (I like R+J, but as a senseless and easily avoidable tragedy.)

Yeah they always seem a bit too 'Hallmark' for my tastes, I get most are essentially lighthearted and don't required too much thought, but they border on being completely vapid at times. Idk, I feel like now days romcoms are lacking that memorable charm that they once had in the 80s/90s/maybe even early 2000s. Netflix does better with Limited Series & Docs, imo. I second Kdramas, though. There are some really great ones out there that put these romcoms to shame, lol.

I don't mind dumb rom coms, I actually love them, but this one is awful mostly because there's not an ounce of chemistry between them 2 and also, during the "funny" part, they over act so much that I couldn't stop cringing and feeling sad ... oh and the costume people HATE her , all the clothes fit her weirdly and ruin her figure completely. Also, I stand by the theory that Romeo and Juliet is not a love a story but a satire, it just doesn't fit Shakespeare's wit to write all that unironically.

Nina Dobrev and that Asian guy in a Christmas movies, in He's all that the guy from Cobra Kai and the girl had no chemistry at all, the ones from this movie as well. It kinda feel like a pattern.

Honestly speaking Bonnie (Kat), Jeremy, and Stefan (I don't remember their real names and don't care enough to look at the moment) were the better characters of TVD and I wouldn't have shed a tear if Elena and Damon (the characters not the actors) were to die off. I always thought Bonnie was badass with a compassionate heart, unlike Elena who literally forgave and excuses everything that the people around her did and never once healt them accountable even when they affect people who did them no harm. Damon was a psychopath. And Stefan atleast felt remorse for his actions even when compelled. Plus let's be honest I lost count of the number of times Bonnie was the hero of the story, even when she lost her magic. I would have preferred kat as the main protag but keep Bonnie's personality in the character and give her a love interest that won't be killed off and be just as much a badass.

When I was on Hinge, I felt soooooo overwhelmed, just so many people and there’s realistically no way to make decisions without being superficial about it. So I took like six months off, and then decided to try out bumble. Right away I got a like by some random guy that was actually out of my location filter, but I was at my mom’s house at the time. He was cute, I decided f*ck it, let’s get a drink, and now I’m dating the love of my life 🥰 I was single for four and a half years before him, I genuinely thought I’d never find love again (like they were juvenile feelings that I couldn’t realistically experience anymore at 30) BUT turns out I was wrong - sometimes it just takes time, and sometimes you might just need to take a break, because lord knows I did 😅😂

I definitely found their prank war really weird. They were playing 2 different games. The characters also didn't seem to have that much chemistry. I'm also surprised how chill the owner of the villa was with having the cops come twice, fixing the lock she broke, and a broken window. But the wardrobe, they dressed her up immaculately in the second half

The movie lost me at the allergic reaction triggering. A few seconds around cats and his face turned red... I was expecting him to die with that many cats crawling around him. And I get they were trying to be funny but getting him arrested was pretty bad too. I don't really get how either were supposed to be funny. If they had just left it at him trying to break in that'd be fine but the arrest was too much. Oh and when the winery decides to go with someone else, because of her...I couldn't understand why he wasn't upset at that.

Kat Graham's character feels like a toned-down version of Joan Clayton from Girlfriends. You know, hopeless romantic who can't keep a man because she's a bit too obsessed with being in a relationship vs being genuinely happy. Yet...Joan was somehow crazier. I really like Kat's performance here!

In regard to the horse thing, I would not be bothered by trying a local dish with it in it, I wouldn’t necessarily seek it out but that’s because I’m a picky eater and tend to stick to food I know I will like. But I would be upset if I was presented with something that seemed to be one kind of food and was another, simply on principle, it’s effed up to lie about what you’re feeding someone. Even if it’s technically harmless.

The debate over horse meat just reminded me of the Tesco debacle... I feel like back then, nobody really cared that they'd been fed horse meat, it was more that the shop said it was beef - it was a very interesting thing to watch as a vegetarian. Every time I hear people getting grossed out by horse meat, all I can think is - yous will eat pigs but not horses? When pigs are supposed to be one of the most intelligent land animals? I get that horses can be a kind of pet but I mean, so can a lot of animals that get eaten

it's the propaganda of animals, socialization, it's not that difficult to understand. think, horse girls, cowboys on a horse.. there aren't any pigboys or chicken girls lol people influenced by the mass media don't know or care that pigs are the most intelligent land animals. they eat what they're told to eat and why they're told to eat it.

I'm not vegetarian but I also think that people favouring some animals getting eaten than others bc they're pets or intelligent is very stupid. Octopuses are some of the most intelligent sea creatures around, never stopped people from eating dishes like calamari, guinea pigs are considered as pets for many people and food for a lot more. It's so arbitrary and I get not wanting to eat sth bc cultural differences but acting so scandalized about eating a horse when you wouldn't blink twice at a hot dog is so stupid.

It's like the Earth is very big, and with many different cultures, people eat a lot of different things, and I really feel at one point it's real stupid to keep the debate up, like we got people that sit and say "I don't eat that dirty pig meat" for example but they'll sit there and eat Lobster and Lobster is if I remember correctly a scavenger, it's giving very hypocrite and nonsensical st this point like it's tired, people eat different shit, ya Kay think what you want about it but it doesn't affect your life to a doomsday degree 🤷🏿♀️ humans are very weird.....

Poor Kat… I feel like they always do her dirty. Netflix is giving her the Christina Milian rom-coms around the world package with much worse scripts and zero chemistry with her co-stars. She did a Christmas rom-com last year that was so horrid I actually couldn’t get through it. The ideas are cute but something about the execution & chemistry is so off it’s just not as charming. Also to Kennie’s point I would MUCH rather watch a rom-com starring the bf that broke up with her cuz he was BEAUTIFUL!

Girl, I feel you about dating and who you are dating still having feelings for someone else. My first relationship, I did tell him that I was crushing on someone else and still did have feelings, but I was ready to have feelings for someone different and he told me how he was in love with multiple girls before me, but he 'knew he was in love with me' because... Anyway, a month after I moved in, he tells me how his ex best friend/person who he had deep feelings for was back in town and I told him it was okay if he wanted to rekindle their friendship, but if something develops, I would like him to talk to me about it so we could move forward. He told me that he didn't want to see her, so I left it at that. Fast forward to the next day, we end up having our first big fight over something, but I thought we had talked it out, apologized, and I continued decorating "our" room. As I was putting stuff on the walls and ceiling, he came in, told me the reason why he didn't want to rekindle the friendship with her because he still knew that he loved her and that he wasn't really in love with me and to not tell his mom/our neighbor about it as he shuts the door to go into the living room to play video games. He's on the spectrum, so that could have been a partial reason to his actions, but he still was a huge, massive, selfish dick throughout the relationship.

The weirdest enemies to lovers pacing but uh after they got through it I enjoyed the cheesiness. Also seeing Degrassi alum acting always makes me happy. Sav grew up to be hot lmao. He was also on another netflix tv show!

This reminds me way too much of "Falling Inn Love" except without any of the charm it had (it's also netflix, also not really great but still charming in a very 2000s romcom cliché and defenitly one of my guilty pleasure movies). Also, they actually a good pair.

This movie (to me) was a combination of overwhelmingly stale banter literally xerox lifted from the two main leads of Princess Bride, and a version of After with 30 something year olds, sans a “book publishing” company. But with wine🍷 …lots and lots of wine. 🍷🍷🍷🍷An oddly entertaining overuse of slapstick inserted into a romance if you can conceive a romantic fever dream written by The Three Stooges🤣🤣🤣.

What really bugged me about this movie was that she basically started the fighting for no reason, (like you pointed out) she went WAY beyond anything he did to her, she turned the nice meal into yet another over the top altercation, then HE was the only one who apologized for the feud. I WAITED to see when she would apologize, and she didn't. Instead, she thanked him for his apology. 🤦♀️

God I hate when romance goes corporate in the way that like they clearly understand that there's an audience for enemies to lovers but fail to comprehend the trope outside of "they don't like each other but then they do". This is an extreme example because they seem to be rivals like Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd are rivals for some reason. Also I hope this is just a symptom of watching a summary of the movie rather than the movie itself, but why are they upset to the point of the police getting involved in their domestic about being overbooked by the hotel? I'm struggling to imagine a world where I wouldn't just be vaguely embarrassed that it happened (and in the situation where I'm in a romance movie where I don't have to feel threatened by sharing the room with a strange man because that's not what the plot is about, like, HYPER-POLITE while sharing space with this equally inconvenienced person). There was probably some justification in the broader movie, but just in the summary these two decided to ruin each other's lives to win a hotel room that he'd already made other arrangements for 😂😂

When it comes to online dating it’s the same for me too, I’ll swipe right on 7 guys and find the rest unattractive. Then I actually have a conversation with them that give me the “ick” and I end up deleting the app. Free me from my shackles I’ve deleted and reinstalled tinder 3 times doing this cycle. Also I laughed so loud when Kennie pointed out the cgi cats but Kat Graham’s cgi tear toward the end is what really got me.😂
