The Arabasta arc is very long and contains a lot of information, and the elimination of Crocodile will be at least 18 episodes per season, as the second developing arc after Wano.

It's not a 1:1 replica, which is great! Oda went for a balanced approach that can appeal to both One Piece fans and new fans, and the whole series turned out fine. Sure, there are nitpicks from fans like the pacing and some of the dialogue but in the end, all of it went through Oda himself and he approved of it. Remember, the series was only given a release date AFTER Oda was completely satisfied with everything.

You can clearly tell the makers of this series know and love the source material. The production design could've been lazy, but it's top knotch. Even the minor characters like Sham and Butchie wears their costimes from the manga.

If you don't usually share the same taste as the reviewer don't watch them cause the only two reasons you watch a review is cause you have similar tastes as the reviewer so if they dont like it you won't or the reason is confirmation bias seeing how many people share your opinion

Only seen episode 1 & 2 so far and its been great, but it does feel like the pacing is very fast. Never watched the original, but from these two episodes, we just barely meet a character and then they are either a new crew member / friend or a villain.

This show is a great example of making the appropriate changes necessary for adaptation purposes. Fans will miss some omissions but for the sake of pacing and not losing people new to One Piece it's necessary.

The first season covers the first 45 episodes of the One Piece Anime ... some things got cut or shortened though, but it's generally seen as a great adaption.
