The story was he had just straightened his hair before the promo photoshoot so they had to keep his hair straightened for the entire shoot.

I'm pretty sure Ed just plays himself in every show. Which is impressive because he's just a natural at what he does. He makes you uncomfortable and laugh at the same time. Anyone that can do that in comedy is just stellar in my book!
