@Harry Williams It was an "above-average" sure it had great interval acts (Except Madonna) but everything else was all over the place including the voting. Honestly 2018 was much more pleasant and level grounded.

The reason why people liked the Grand final this year is because it's very modern and not the bad kind Of modern.the flag parade was unique. I loved the live Auto-Tune during the second verse, it so fits the style and mood of the song. When used as a creative vocal effect they should allow it in the entries. The only time it was used live was 19 years ago, Denmark won with 'Fly On The Wings Of Love.' (Yes, the only auto-tune entry, WON!) It had the Auto-Tune effect on the bridge (studio and live) It made it unique at the time cause a lot of people had no clue what it was back then. All other vocal effects are allowed. (as it should cause it's part of the creative freedom that comes with making music) We hear time coded delay and EQ filters, we hear reverb, flanger, just about everything you can do in the studio they program it live. (Iceland had the exact same distortion plug-in on the mic as the studio version: Great!) That's why Eurovision has one of the best sounding live mixes, cause they really work to make it sound like a studio mix! So why no vocoders and auto-tune/pitch effects? It's only considered a cheating effect by people who never used and or worked with it. It can add to so many genres. And by the way, you can only cheat when there are rules, and music has no rules. You either enjoy it, or you don't. And even that, you can't help. I hope Netta wil bring all her vocal effects to the final to do an amazing auto-tune-looper-medley of the biggest Eurovision hits!
