Brew a Coffee, or whatever your preference, take 10 minutes out beside the camp fire with us in this video where we wild camp in a small rural woodland in Ireland. Late April is the peak time of year for the Dawn Chorus here. Listen to the sounds and chill with it a little before you return to your busy day.
This series explores the idea that there are countless un-used wild camping spots available across Ireland if people are willing to ask among their extended network of friends. If everyone were to ask around then everyone could have more places to go. Perhaps we can all but open up our country, it's hidden wild places and the great out doors. Episode 7 is our latest camp found in this way. We found this beautiful little wood land through the family of a work colleague and friend.

Really appreciate the feedback as always. The story was a little weak you might say, but nothing really went wrong, and that was the story in the end. It was as easy as could be, even as plan C.

Loved the video, I would like a roof top tent but I wouldn't be bothered to out up and take off the car, and wouldn't have the space to store in between trips. I am sure the kids will have the fondest memories of these trips, I mean who wouldn't want to have donkeys as their neighbours?

You’ve pretty much summed up the downsides of the RTT in one go there. Storage is an issue and if it gets wet or damp it’s a right mess. The kids maintain that this was their favourite camp thanks entirely to these gentle donkeys.
