This video highlights Neuroendocrine Tumor prognostic factors in easy to understand language and drawings. This Neuroendocrine Tumor Lecture focuses on understanding the Neuroendocrine Tumor Grade and Neuroendocrine Tumor Differentiation. These two are the key markers in determining long-term survival and likely treatment options. Other important factors that determine good outcomes for Neuroendocrine Tumor Survivors are also discussed in detail.
The viewer will get a sound understanding of concepts such as Neuroendocrine Tumor Grade 1 and how this correlates with tumor behaviour and with Differentiation (Well, Moderate and Poor).
This video forms part of a series of videos on Neuroendocrine Tumors.

@@johnwright7782 the gastrointestinal symptoms I do not suffer with , it’s a daily struggle with the mediastinal area tumors to do anything without tiring or loss of breath. So it’s one day at a time and make the best of my days 😊

It might be a silly question, but, how does one impact survival rate if the tumour is removed, it was net g2 in the appendix, stage 3.

What if my NET is free floating, not in an organ, but in-between.

I have neuroendocrine breast cancer stage 1 but grade 3 poorly differentiated. er+ pr+ her2-. After lumpectomy, they told me they remove all cancer, lymp nodes negative, margins very good. I'm 72 years old all scans (chest/bone/brain) no metastasis. Need to do 4 rounds strong chemo, then 12 weeks less strong chemo, afterwards 3 weeks radiation plus 1 week booster (radiation) and hormones therapy. Oncologist told me that if I don't do any treatments, i have 80% chance of recurrence. Do you think its worth it at my age with all side effects, do I have a chance for survival?

Nets are usually slow growing, but if I were you, I would consider another oncologist or doctor and get a second opinion.
