+myzz R This was a good action/fight movie, the first one was legendary. The line "don't give up, never give up, never back down" still inspires me today, with anything that i feel like i might fail at. After watching the first one, you got the courage to stand on your feet and face anything, not just fights. Can't top that with a sequel when a story is fully told already.

The 1st and 3rd ones were far better than the 2nd. 2nd wasn't bad, just left a lot to be desired compared to the first, and ultimately it's sequal

I don't understand all the hating on this movie. It actually had a decent plot, with Case's past haunting him all of the time, the thing with Tim's mother, Mike's father, Mike's and Zach's girlfriend, and generally the dynamic between the group wasn't bad. Max was great as well. Seeing the dork turn full psycho as time passed was also pretty believable. The fights delivered, there were a lot of great scenes (like Case vs the cops, the beatdown fights, etc). Sure, the acting could be better (especially with Tim), but all I see in the comments is people piling on to this movie just because they see other people doing it

For me it's the writing of this movie, aside from Case's past, everything else was cringe as far as the writing goes. Fight scenes weren't bad tho

The script was garbaje, they tried to abord so many storylines that they dont really get to fullfill none of them. Character development is just all over the place, none believeble. I like the idea of giving some kind of protagonism to multiple characters, but you need time to do that correctly and i think they don't acomplish that here.

turkish -playgame The only connection between this movie and the first movie is Max, the guy who was running the beatdown. Though I would love to see Michael Jai White and Djimon Hounsou in a movie together. Both teaching different fighting styles. could be fun.

Actually the second movie also made fun of the first movie in order to show there’s a connection If you remember djimon taught them how to kick a bag with more force making it move to the side Yet MJW made fun of it and kicked the bag with enough speed to tear it and said you need to beat your opponent not push him

Honestly 2nd movie could've been way better if it followed their storylines into college. They could've been great friends and realized that their current mma was no match for a new type of regime in college, so they hear about case and go to train with him, both learning new techniques and building their character up

I've been reading the comments that the first movie was better and I got to say..... I completely agree or at least with the fight scenes. At least the punches and hits in the first one looked like they did damage to them. In this one, the guy gets his leg stomped on twice than acts as if it was nothing

I think he killed someone that beat him up earlier in the movie so case kicked him out. That’s why he planted the gun in Cases camper and he’s holding a grudge against them for it.

I think what the movie is projecting is pretty wrong. The kid was reacting because they bullied the fuck out of him. He was wrong in how he lashed out even at people who didn’t do anything to him, but the rest kept treating him like shit and then we’re supposed to cheer that they beat the fuck out of him in the end, it’s pretty wrong.
