2 жыл бұрынThe ESP32 development boards with OLED display are one of my favorites. Small, cheap, extremely capable, and with OLED! Yes, everything is better with OLED (or Bluetooth?). Nevermind. The problem with those boards is that those small displays are very fragile and break easily. There is a fix for that though! Just a slight dip of epoxy glue.

Nice hack! going to be giving mine the same treatment at the weekend :) You also reminded me to get some pigtails for my lora32 boards that connect to SMA socket rather than the rubbish curly spring antennas. Currently having fun with some T-Beam on the ground and esp32lora in the air on 433MHz.

I've lost enough of those oleds in exactly the same way to tolerate the losses :)

Epoxy also would have been my advice. I strengthen micro usb plugs that way. Helps the longlivety of many raspberry PI pico i used to convert big Buzzer buttons to a enter key / usb keyboard or MS Teams mute buttons using the usb hid library.

What about 3D printing a cover for the OLED?

Hello Would it be not easyer to take the display off and dipp it in a little epoxy to have a nicer look on the edges, straight lines of epoxy ect. 🤔

I have a ESP32 with a broken display. Board still works fine. Any suggestions on replacing the screen? If not easily replaceable, any suggestions for alternate uses of the board without a display? 😅

I recommend to switch to TTGO T-DISPLAY, its look almost as oled version but its way more durable. By past few years I did not broke anyone.

What about hot glue gun? Under certain temperature should be alright.
