Hi Mike, you are loved by all for so many reasons like your positive attitude and your sense of humor just to name a few. I personally like your Edna Krabappel laugh, Ha. As far as todays walk around I love and it is one of my dream cars the SL 500. A while back on the Mercedes Channel with the dark haired guy who has a beard, you have probably watched his stuff too, but he said that the 500 is the best Mercedes engines for reliability and durability which I think he is right on, but I was wondering if you agree. I know the 3.2 is bulletproof and suppose to very good. Anyway I love the SL 500 with the hardtop convertible, it seems like that could be the perfect Mercedes to buy, so you better buy it if it doesn't go for too much money. I also love the Z28 but I think that one has seen better days and I'm scared to death of owning a Land Rover/Range Rover but I know they are nice and expensive. I got a good feeling about that SL. They can be super rough these days but this one is pretty good, no rips in the seat etc. wheels suck but easy fix. Make the SL GREAT again Mike 😀

The drivers side fender has been repainted, you can see the mismatch between it and the hood. Actually in the video it looks like the entire drivers side has been repainted. I've never been fascinated by MB's but I do like the 500's.

Hello Mike aka Monkey Wrench Mike. The 2006 Mercedes SL500 is a good looking car. The Land Rover Discovery Sport is a good looking SUV and it's 2017. The 2020 Land Rover Discovery is a good looking SUV.

I would go for the white Discovery first. Should that not pan out, I'd go for the SL500. Albeit, they both seem decent and in overall good condition to make them much nicer.

Not a bad looking R230. It will probably need the rear battery. When the car doesn't wake until you insert the key, the rear battery is dead and the front battery has to step in and do all the work. That is also what gives you the consumers offline. These cars are terrible for battery drain and that will probably need addressed. M113 engine and 722.9 transmission are both mechanically reliable. Transmission has conductor plate issues, but those are cheap to DIY. If it ends up with a salvage title, probably worth $8k with headlight and warnings fixed. Maybe closer to $10k if it ends up coming through with a clean title. ABC suspension could be manually raised or it might be in limp mode. However, I don't think you have any major issues.
