Metalizer was supposed to be their first album but the record company withheld it for two years. It has some songs that are marginalized war themed ("Thundergods" is about the A-10, "Burn Your Crosses" the Spanish inquisition, "Shadows" about the Nazgul from LOTR). They have another song called "Metal Machine" where the lyrics are made up of various song titles from other metal bands (for example, Fear of the Dark from iron Maiden). Jokim said he wrote this song in the bathroom on toilet paper using a cardboard beer crate as a table. BTW, saw them live in October 2022 at the Ryman in Nashville, TN, USA. Phenomenal show.

Thank you for reacting to this beautiful song. as I tried to explain in the livestream, at this time Sabaton were Joakim, Pär, Chris Rörland on guitar (still in the band), Thobbe Englund on guitar (replaced by Tommy in 2016), Snowy Shaw filling in on drums (replacing Robban Bäck who was on paternity leave). Thobbe is currently guitarist in a band called Civil War, which was made by other ex Sabaton members who left Sabaton in 2012. Basically, Sabaton has had a lot of line up changes, only Joakim and Pär (bass) are in the band since the beginning

Ok, as a swede I kind of love Joakim's accent... dalmål. It doesn't suit metal at all (in my opinion), which makes it even funnier and somehow cool. He just is too cool to give a F about trying to be anything other than himself.

Sabaton with Uprising, live from Woodstock in Poland are soooo much better live video than this one. The interaction with the crowd there are insane. This is not a fav Sabaton song of mine, and not one i would choose for a first time live reaction. They got so many other great ones. Like En livstid i krig live from Gothenburg, its epic and magic with the whole crowd singing 😀🇸🇪

You are correct, of course. I wasn't aware Yuri did not see Sabaton live performance yet, I would have suggested one of those. I chose this performance because this beautiful, but forgotten song sounds better live than in studio ( though studio version is great too)
