Hi, don't mind me, just turning dryer lint into paper! (Also really don't mind me pronouncing dryer lint like Ireland)
In this video I am trying out if you can make paper from dryer lint! And maybe even a journal?

Hi! I worked as a paper restoration and I remember seeing, here in Europe, a type of "rag paper". leftover fabrics that were beaten in water (with mills) until they became fine fiber, and went to dry as you do in your processes. I was watching your video and I shouted here at home: RAG PAPER! HAHA HA! I screamed for remembering this study and because these dry fibers from the dryer always prompted me to do something ... I thought about filling for pillows, but this idea of yours is incredible! So, congratulations!

I know I'm two years late, but this is very interesting. A nickname (actually a slur) used for people in my town is "rag gatherers" because we used to collect those rags for the local paper industry and it was considered a job with low value.

I just found your channel and I love this series so far! Great job with the dryer lint paper 🙂 Could you make paper out of coffee filters or teabags? You could tip out the used tea or grounds and then dry out the tea bags/filter paper until you had enough. I would be interested to see if that works 🙂

Several years ago I saved a ton of dryer lint, hoping to eventually figure out what to do with it. My hubby finally convinced me that it might be a fire hazard, and to throw it away. Oh how I regret that decision now! Well, now that I have an excellent use for it, I will start saving it all again! Thank you for the video! And absolutely would love to see more videos on different things to make paper out of! What a great series it will be! Thanks again. I'm loving the dryer lint paper for a journal!

Hi Lisa, I’ve just discovered your experimental recycled paper videos and am finding them fun and instructive. This video, in particular, reminds me of a visit I made to a small factory in the Himalayas in February 2020, that recycled cotton T shirts to make paper. The process was long and the resulting paper was much like the one you made here. They separated the white and dark coloured t shirts and made large sheets, which they turned into all sorts of uses. Fascinating! And you’ve discovered this for yourself by using the left over fibres from the dryer… well done!

Try mixing in other materials, like the ones you use in making regular paper. Also try adding some downy to the water in the last step, (mix well) then its ready to make the paper. You can add many other things, like cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, vanilla bean, crushed cinnamon sticks, coffee grains, crushed rose petals, color, tea grains or/and string of many different kinds and many other great ideas! I have used these ideas in all my paper making and dying/staining paper technician. :-)

Hi! Thanks for your videos, they are so inspiring! So, that I've been wanting to make some recycled paper since the first tiktoks of yours that I saw reposted on instagram a few weeks ago. I have been watching your videos and I have a few questions. How do you manage the last amounts of pulp in your container? Or do you have to just let some of it go? Do you have any more tips for the alternative paper breaking methods? The blender might be the best, but definitely not the most affordable option. :( And the last question, the one why I comment on this specific video: do you think flower petals or fallen leaves would make a proper paper? Not talking about using them as decoration, but as the main material. Thanks again! Also, no need to answer if it's too much, sorry. 😅 Keep being so nice!
