Great video that gives great insight for someone considering playing the Bard class in Neverwinter! FYI "Arpeggio" is a musical term for a technique used to play notes a certain way (sweeping is a layman's term for it). It's a latin / Italian word so the g's are pronounced like a J, not as short g's like in the word/name Peggy, it's [are]pe'gee'oh. Spelling it as it's pronounced would be arp pej geo. Fortissimo is an Italian word that means Very Strong in English. Paying interesting, informative, info forward :)

I can't wait to play a bard healer... I feel like o may become a healer main, cause my biggest complaints is I've always felt as a healer i havecto go in combat and swap encounter powers mid combat. But with bard you can just cast the appropriate song which is honestly just so awesome!!!!

I am glad this looks like an actual Bard, where it's got that swashbuckling element, rather than just shooting music notes at their enemies. Don't get me wrong, the perform function does looks like a lot of fun, and like a main draw of what is inpiring me to want to try this class out, but so many games go with the really lazy option of having Bards just be a spell caster with music themed magic, rather than the jack of all trades they are meant to be, & it's not like the game has not made simular mistakes before *Cough* Cleric *Cough* (Seriosuly the Paladin plays more like a D&D Cleric). Plus I really love healing as a more or less Melee Class, and sense they kind of spoiled Paladin healing, and with it being a Tank/Healer it can be a bit hard to group with my family as they already have people who like playing Tanks & Healers, it will be nice to be able to spec DPS. Plus it not being a typical DPS and being more of a DPS/Support/Buffer class, well that's more interesting to me than the alternative.

So, have bards started performing in taverns for tips, yet? I haven't played in a while, but honestly this take on bards seems like such a novel idea, that seems like it has the potential to breed fun player interactions.

Thanks for the overview Silver. You know that Protector's Enclave is going to look like Woodstock for the next few months. I can see folks programming mouse buttons to play their most commonly used songs. I'm looking forward to the free play of songs. We should see some in-game concerts coming from the more musically inclined among us.

I'm musically inclined and was considering a Bard to share some entertaining fun which is what brought me to this video. Apparently we can play songs using +PowerMusicNoteExec with a number in chat. A nerd like me can write a script running from my desktop to play whatever song I want to entertain myself with. I was hoping we could program the spells to custom songs, but apparently that's not the case. I'm bummed that's not how it works but I still might try the Bard class for the fun of playing an instrument in a game.

Songs will probably be "hit whatever the console version of TAB is, and then D-pad + letter/shape buttons depending on console" . Honestly think it might be easier to play on console.

Rejuvenating Carol is weak initially but songblade has a feat that buffs it from 100 to 800 as long as it's not in a quick play slot. Personally I think that should have been a minstrel feat but does make songblade more versatile than just dps.

I just want to know the truth. Several ACT users are saying abilities like the Rangers Electric Shot aren't magical, they show up as physical. Is Fleche/psychic damage like this too? Will building int vs str buff my weapon enchantments, elemental songs, and such or like every single bard build I've seen, leave INT at 10/11 and use the spells anyway? Very confused.

You can remap all the notes, so you'll probably want to just map them to your face and trigger buttons. I play on PC, and use the steamoverlay to enable controller support.

Somehow I got my computer to not be trash and I was able to play on the testing server and test out this class it's pretty fun but since my computer is trash as soon as the update comes out on PS4 I'm playing it on os4

So you've looked into this I don't know if you get to ask questions but if you can can you ask the question how are they going to introduce this for controller use on console because honestly if they think they're going to use the steps like a hunter going in and out of melee or bow that won't work with eight different notes it won't work

Can sometimes be "Let's go over there!" depending on context, which I find funnier. Imagine the bard just yells "let's go over there!" and sings a song. Your feet catch fire, and the only way to put out the fire is to run xD

While a new class is noteworthy, and bard should be great at picking up lute, I'd much rather have a good Monk, no strings attached. Not spending any money on this one. I'll try and hold out for Monk. Hope everyone enjoys the bard, but I run silent, so it's pretty well wasted on me.

*_● At-Will/Encounter ●_* *_Reprise_* Unbearably low dps and is slow at the same time... *_Baseline_* Why hasn't this been reworked yet... as if you have the time to channel a move for this long... 200 performance out of 1000, even on paper this is fucking retarded. *_Phantasmal_* Is also immensely bad due to having too slow startup and dps based on damage as well. *_Delayed Play_* Is only useful before combat, it'd be nice if the effect is still applied and stored while in combat. *_Arpeggio_* Should be an AOE heal by default if you're expected to sit and channel... *_● Songs ●_* *_Blaze Flamenco_* I think should be able to change element with different effects for each. *_•Fire_* Damage Boost. *_•Wind_* Speed boost/protection from controlled effects. *_•Ice_* Percentage base shield that refreshes every 10 seconds for 30 seconds. *_•Earth_* Percentage base damage mitigation from physical damage. 30 seconds. *_•Electricity_* AP boost/ regen for 20 seconds. *_Rejuvenating Carol_* I don't know who designed this skill but it's clear the developers do not give a single fuck about this game; 80 heal... what the hell is 80 heal per second for 30 seconds... *_Aurora Fantasia_* Based on Performance being your main weapon, not having access to it when needed especially sacrificing the option in order to push a bit more damage and unnoticeable healing to beat up a enemy being THE HEALER...is clunky... *_Sheltering Etude_* Should not have a cool down... *_● Class Feature ●_* *_Songward_* I think the regeneration should be increased. Also the controlled portion cool down needs to go. To be a healer and playing notes this extremely ruins the class by being CC'ed every 12 seconds. *_Arpeggio Fortissimo_* Buffing through debuffs is actually retarded... *_Mystifying Strikes_* I can't make this up... these magnitudes are all ridiculously underpowered... ESPECIALLY BASED ON THERE ACTIVATION CHANCES. *_Vamos Alla_* This shouldn't even be a class ability... this should be already in the skill if it were a good place to place it based on what secondary thing "fire" in D&D should do... *_Starstruck_* This doesn't even tell you a percentage of activation... 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️_* *_● Feats ●_* *_Pianissimo_* Trying to balance through debuffs is literally lazy... *_Crescendo/Diminuendo_* Arpeggio should be a reliable AOE heal... there are 3 different abilities that alter Arpeggio to work differently, 2 of them do not stack... Arpeggio is also a healing ability causing you to stand still this feat wouldn't be needed of Arpeggio worked for itself. *_Rhapsody At Arms_* Genuinely only 4 songs can be reliably played... Warding Carol only last for 10 seconds... 1% damage and damage reduction... 1% WHO DESIGNS THIS SHIT... *_Art Of War_* So close to being good if Fleche hit speed was increased. It takes unbearably long to get 3 stacks with this ability, for 120 performance... *_Sudden Muse_* I definitely agree that they ran out of ideas on this one... *_Vamp_* I do not care what any of you say on this; This ability is too niche for reliable combat. Another skill that relies on too little chance. Not to mention the split second decisions to be made and prompting delayed play to then play a song, store it, then activating flourish to get the most out of your played song, then hopefully it procs to spam... this is asinine... *_Gambler_* THE WORST FEAT IN THE DAMN FUCKING GAME... AND GUESS WHO BUILT FOR IT. 😑. FOR THIS SECOND I WILL SPEAK LIKE A NORMAL PERSON. *_□ Gambler's Delight Stacks_* This ability only guarantee works when the effect of the song does its thing for first activation. Afterwards it may not work properly unless it's needed. For instance, you can't spam the same ability to get stacks indefinitely. You'll have to spam the three in a cycle... or Defenders Minuet when you or your team are at 95% health. Otherwise you're only getting 3 stacks... The maximum is stacks 5... the description does not tell you that either. So 340 performance by default... to 540 or 560 or 580 out of 1,000... and that's just to get 5 stacks... then you'd have to play the reprised carols... so, 615, 625 or 655 out of 1,000... *_◇ Reprised Carols_* *_□ Enhanced_* Unbearably underpowered. In fact I honestly believe someone screwed something up. 655 performance for a chance to get EITHER 10% Critical Severity Bonus, 10% Mitagation, 10% Recharge Speed Bonus FOR 15 SECONDS... And are all completely random. Nobody can argue this ability being so bad, this ability is absolutely useless compared to recovery. *_□ Recovery_* Almost decent the same cost to activate yet again 15 SECONDS, you used 655 performance for a 15 second skill... I understand I can't expect these abilities to be broken yet I have so much more to say and small points. Let's talk in the comments. Take care. And thanks for reading.

Warding Carol only last for 10 seconds... 1% damage and damage reduction... 1% WHO DESIGNS THIS SHIT... *_Art Of War_* So close to being good if Fleche hit speed was increased. It takes unbearably long to get 3 stacks with this ability, for 120 performance... *_Sudden Muse_* I definitely agree that they ran out of ideas on this one... *_Vamp_* I do not care what any of you say on this; This ability is too niche for reliable combat. Another skill that relies on too little chance. Not to mention the split second decisions to be made and prompting delayed play to then play a song, store it, then activating encore to get the most out of your played song, then hopefully it procs to spam... this is asinine... *_Gambler_* THE WORST FEAT IN THE DAMN FUCKING GAME... AND GUESS WHO BUILT FOR IT. 😑. FOR THIS SECOND I WILL SPEAK LIKE A NORMAL PERSON. *_□ Gambler's Delight Stacks_* This ability only guarantee works when the effect of the song does its thing for first activation. Afterwards it may not work properly unless it's needed. For instance, you can't spam the same ability to get stacks indefinitely. You'll have to spam the three in a cycle... or Defenders Minuet when you or your team are at 95% health. Otherwise you're only getting 3 stacks... The maximum is stacks 5... the description does not tell you that either. So 340 performance by default... to 540 or 560 or 580 out of 1,000... and that's just to get 5 stacks... then you'd have to play the reprised carols... so, 615, 625 or 655 out of 1,000... *_◇ Reprised Carols_* *_□ Enhanced_* Unbearably underpowered. In fact I honestly believe someone screwed something up. 655 performance for a chance to get EITHER 10% Critical Severity Bonus, 10% Mitagation, 10% Recharge Speed Bonus FOR 15 SECONDS... And are all completely random. Nobody can argue this ability being so bad, this ability is absolutely useless compared to recovery. *_□ Recovery_* Almost decent the same cost to activate yet again 15 SECONDS, you used 655 performance for a 15 second skill...
