Jeff, I've been watching your videos for over a year now while I've been researching which vehicle I want to purchase. I appreciate your videos and how you incorporate humor while educating the public about the various models and their trim features. I've watched some of the videos multiple times as I've narrowed down my choices. I just wanted to say thank you for the countless hours of entertainment and the knowledge bombs that you drop. I've watched other reviewers but I have to say that you have them all beat. I found myself getting frustrated when I recently visited a local dealership to test drive because I actually knew more about the car I was looking at than the salesman. (No, the weather package doesn't mean it gets ventilated seats. Those are only available on the Limited). I feel like I learned so much about these vehicles. I finally put in an order for a 2021 Rav4 Hybrid XLE Premium in Lunar Rock. I am anxiously awaiting the delivery. I have watched many of your videos on the RAV4 Hybrid. I would have never even considered a hybrid before this point in time but you’ve given me the education to overcome any fears that may have been in my mind regarding one. I plan on a purchase between now and the summer of 2022 hoping more inventory is available by that time. I reside in Ohio and would have no objections dealing with your dealership even though not in the same state. Please keep up the good work and informative videos they really do help. I bought this exact car today!! Thank you Jeff for all the videos! I found this video after purchase to learn about my new 2021 RAV4 Premium XLE!! The ride is smooth, very comfortable, and lots of room! I love the Eco setting (avg 48 miles to the gallon!) sunroof (2 settings), Apple/Android connect. I’m still learning and playing but could not be happier!! This car is amazing!! The upgrades on it like wiper warmer, steering wheel warmer, heated seats, etc just put this RAV4 is in a class of its own! Yay!! One very happy new car owner!

Jeff,just bought the same car today 1-15-22 but it has the JBL sound package and about every other package. Good acceleration and ride. Only have 8 miles on it so far. I will enjoy driving it tomorrow.

I recently crashed my car and now I’m car hunting and I really love this car it’s everything that I want and I love how it is four wheel drive and hybrid and I love how it’s big but not too big cuz I’m a small person I’m 4’9 but it’s big enough to go on traveling and I’m having a baby soon so this is so perfect for my baby as well I think this car is perfect and I can’t wait to get this car I CLAIM IT!! I pray I get this car soon before I have my baby if not after but I really hope I get this car

@@molotovgod Well, you dont "need" any add ons from the dealer. The factory puts add ons to make each vehicle have extra little nice things, like all weather floor mats, navigation package, JBL audio upgrade etc. If you dont want those and to keep the price lower,then you want the LE.

I was referring to dealer add-ons like toyota care, paint protection, etc. I went to a dealer and said that they came included and there was no option to remove them and stuff but I've heard different so it's rather confusing. I hope this makes sense. Best.

What’s your opinion of on demand all wheel drive?

@@zaxflaya Depends on how you use it. If it's just for commuting through snowy icy roads I prefer it to regular t case 4x4 as it will recognize the wheels slipping and adjust accordingly. If you're planning on seeking out anything more adventurous like rock crawling or hill climbing get a Tacoma or 4 Runner.

And I’m looking at this review right now potentially to upgrade my 2010 Toyota Corolla. Looking for a reliable SUV for work and family use. They always leave the rear impact safety ratings. I bought a 2020 RAV4 XLE Hybrid in September. Was hit at a stop light by a truck whose brakes went out, at 30 plus mph. My husband and I walked away, but the RAV4 was totaled. This puppy is SAFE! I won't have anything else. Now I have a 2021 RAV4 XLE Hybrid Premium!

1:53 I hear the same whirring noise when driving forward but less volume than backing up. Does it make that sound all the time when driving?

It seems as if when I bought my new 18 RAV4 XLE Hybrid I got stuff that I would now have to pay extra for on the XLE Premium. Is their main goal to figure out how to pay extra for options that were not options, but standard in previous models? I can assure you that there are zero dealers out there that are going to have 14 different models of a RAV4 on the lot along with 10 models of Camrys, five models or Tacomas, Tundras, etc., etc. with different paint colors, etc. They would have to have a lot of 200 cars and trucks or more. This is insane and of course the prices are insane too. It seems I am being over critical, but not really.

And that is why I go to the BIGGEST Toyota dealership in the world. Longo Toyota’s lot is as big as 38 football fields, so I am pretty sure that they will have most of the models on the lot. I have to wait till Christmas time for the color I want will be in stock.

Man I reeally should have done a bit more research before I purchased my vehicle... I picked up a black 2020 Rav4 XLE AWD with the convenience package (power sunroof and power trunk door) - then I also purchased a second set of gun metal grey rims at the same time, and a 5 year extended warranty........ I didn't even look into the hybrid model. I really really wish I had of picked up the hybird XLE without the extra rims and extended warranty... the payments would have came out to be nearly identical. Ah well.. I am definitely beyond happy with my RAV4... I am coming from a 2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo - and we just recently got a pure bred German Shepherd puppy (shes now 7 months) and she absolutely hated the Veloster! She would drool nonstop from the moment she got in til the moment she got out. You have to understand that for my wife and I, our dogs are like our children. We do not have children. Thankfully since I got the RAV4, our dog has started absolutely loooving going for drives. I put down the back row of seating and she gets the entire back of the vehicle to stretch out in... It is amazing! Just wanted to say Jeff that I watched a bunch of your Rav4 reviews when I bought mine :) you were very helpful!

What is the deal with people and their dogs? I mean i like dogs and had them for years, but they belong at home in the yard, not in stores,restaraunts, festivals or car dealerships. It really irritating. Leave the dam dogs at home where they belong!

I have two boxers and travel from Iowa to Florida twice a year as we bought a vacation house there. I refuse to fly so a return to winter can possibly require AWD. They LOVE to ride! The mpg over my Tacoma would make it worth it even with an LE, but this XLE Premium looks like the ticket.

@Mitch, you can still do trade in for what you want. I went to trade in my 2018 standard LE, Was told they are really in need of those old models, for profit. I was rough with my LE, Had 2 accidents 🤫 plus bored as no features, now looking into Toyota Luxury🤪, got a very good package. Am in communication with a dealer to upgrade to a Hybrid. Happy about that!.

Hey Jeff, I finally ordered my RAV4 XLE Premium. We were told that they had ran out of the XLE Premium’s & the next shipment coming in was already sold, so I had to build my car & call it in today. It may take 2 months or so for the 🚙 to arrive. Boo! I was hoping to get the RAV4 by my birthday, which is next Monday. I guess not!

@@AllenReinecke , I had to order my 🚙 b/c they never had it in stock. I wish they had told us a month ago when we called them. I only asked for the weather package b/c I didn’t want to spend more than 35k before taxes. I don’t need the upgraded audio system. Considering I am driving a 2009 Corolla, I think anything would be an upgrade right now. Lol!

So do I understand correctly, the car has 18” wheels but the spare is only 17”? Is that even drivable? Seems like the AWD system would be detecting that difference in wheel speed.

Any car I ever owned had a spare smaller than the normal wheels. Works fine as long as you don’t drive too fast or crazy.

Hi Jeff, love the reviews. I live in los angeles and its from 4k to 7k. Some dealers gave me the msrp on the phone and i drive there and thats not the price. I was lucky and found a 2020 xse in las vegas with no markup and just got it home last night 😁

My new XSE hybrid that I purchased 6 weeks ago and have filled up about 4 or 5 times now with no issue whatsoever..... it fills up to 100% every time.

this one no, you need the extra Audio Plus Option for that.
