Came back to skating after a 20 year break, skated from 11 to 23 years of age and then took a break until I was 42. I picked up a pair of these as a display model/brand new for $200. Taking the next three months to get my balance down and build back my strength in my ankles which seems to be the biggest limiting factor for me currently. I used to be so flexible and nimble, but not anymore. They skate fast, they fit like a glove and I am just doing stalls for grind balance. Just three sessions in so I have a lot of work to do to get back to my previous form. I plan on making a grind box for pratice to get my skating/grind legs back under me.

For your cuff/buckle issue- you have the cuff flaps layered wrong 😄 It's supposed to go shin, tongue, outer flap, inner flap, buckle strap.

LOL "too fucking fast" -- yeah man, welcome to flat! I was anti / freestyle just like you, and with my return to blading I said screw it, I'll try flat, and just rolling around has been such a joy, you can make turns so much quicker, you roll faster, it's just great.

@17.20 thats the 2nd person in as many days that has said the same thing...ive been keeping my buckle the same tightness the entire time and killing myself to get flat over the years! 😪

Hey dude, the little bucke holder thing, is meant to hold the plastic from the other side, depending how tight you run them you trim down the plastic on the notches on the other side,... So hard to explain via a comment xD

Tempted for some aeons myself going from usd thrones freestyle frames to flat setup.

Did you find using the metal lace loops on the side more comfortable in the end? I've just puchased the same boots and trying to find the best way of lacing up

I bought the wrong skates!😭 LoL nah I’m looking forward to the blank skate, but if I hadn’t already pre-ordered them I’d be ordering some aeons. I’ve wanted a pair ever since they came out(2015ish) but I’ve always been too chicken to order a pair. If the new Rollerblades don’t work for me I’ll definitely give them a try 💵💵💵 Oh also this video is amazing. I always get big views on unboxing videos so this vid should do really well.

$400 for an aeon seems a bit much . I bought the team 19 and that was $300 and I thought those were a bit too expensive since I had to replace some kinda shitty bearings and the wheels were also not great and I replaced those with a set of uc wheels. Now if some uc wheels came stock on the pro skate with some ilq9 bearings then that would be a true pro skate that would justify that price. They are more expensive than Gawds which are supposed to be a higher end brand? I like Aeons but I don't like some company trying to gouge me. $350 Blanks are probably going to be my next skate.

There are 2 problems with Aeons. First; the bolts are too soft and they are made of poor quality. they will be ruined really fast. Second problem: If you want to buy a new liner the sizes for the after market liners are different. USD company wants you to buy a new skate so you will lose money and it's not fair.

if those one fast//then try Aeon 80 you will fly
