The Spinnaker Dumas Seaspray White is a beautiful watch and I love everything about the watch face, the strap looks like a really nice quality strap, but, it’s not that good to use. Spinnaker are aware of the problems with the strap from feedback from different KZfaq channels and emails that have been sent to them, and STILL continue to do nothing about it. I am going to be changing my strap as soon as I can, but I’m waiting until I find something I like, and something I know that will do it’s job properly. As much as I love the Dumas, it is the first Spinnaker watch and it will definitely be the last Spinnaker watch that I will ever get. Trying to get any response from them is like trying to get blood from a stone.

Really interesting to see the different levels of lume between the dial colors. I have just the white one, and to my eye it appeared really bright. Pretty impressive that the black and blue are that much brighter.

When I hear Dumas, I think of Alexandre Dumas (Count of Monte Cristo, Les Miserables).

Interesting, one thing that stands out is the bracelet, I don't think it would be too comfortable at 8mm total overlap thickness. The keeper looks very sharp as well, I would have to replace the bracelet with a NATO or two piece rubber of some sort. I guess I'm being overly critical, looks awesome but I think there are better choices at that price point. There are a couple of additional things they could have done that wouldn't be cost prohibitive, quick change holes in the lugs and better lume would be a good starting point. It is a beautiful watch in either case, I'm sure they will sell well.

If the watch is indeed named after the diver Frédéric Dumas, which is born in southern France, the correct pronunciation of the name would be "DUMA". Well, at least it's not Dumass :D

The yellow version is a knockout and the white version is striking. Personally, I think they entirely missed the boat on the blue, and the black one is kinda blah -- probably it's the contrasting colors that throw it off for me. Jody on "Just One More Watch" says that the metal keeper is a problem, which Marc adverted to. I'll have to think about whether my 6.75-inch wrist could stand up to the yellow one; not sure it looks quite right to me on Marc's wrist, which is the same size as mine. I sure wish Spinnaker offered smaller watches!

Sweet watch. I wear my Turtle on a steib thick mesh bracelet, very comfortable indeed. I get the name is a mark of respect, but an unfortunate choice unless you're French. Cheers 👍👍

I love that white and with a mesh bracelet it looks fab, but that size kills me with my little wrist I can do 42 at a pinch but this is next level. Oh well maybe another company who do watch videos and sells watches may do a smaller white diver,mmm

I saw a review from one guy who found the strap keeper was a nightmare. It just keeps slipping down, leaving the extra strap flopping around. Sounds pretty annoying.

Love the bracelet, but that stainless steel keeper would be a nightmare. Wouldn’t stay put.

Dang it. If it was 42 and the bezel on the blue one didn’t inexplicably have the green lume, I’d buy it. My search for a blue/orange diver continues. (At least until I win the lottery and buy a Christopher Ward....) Man that green lume is out of place on the blue. What were they thinking?

Come on, people. No, I do not think of Dumb Ass; I think of Alexandre Dumas (s is silent), author of several books you might have heard of; e.g., The Count of Monte Cristo, and The Three Musketeers. Not a dumb ass, that guy. Nor was the diver, I'll wager. He also had a son, BTW, who wrote a book that was the basis for Verdi's opera La Traviata.

Nice watch but that deployant milanese is a horrible design. Just have it clicking straight in with removable links to size it.
