A simple solution would be to have the metal bit in the end magnetised. And I’m digging the white dial variant.
@chrispeek3804 жыл бұрын
Most stainless steel has nickle in it which makes it very difficult to magnetize.
@TheRealMafoo4 жыл бұрын
You typically don't want magnets close to a watch. It will cause the hairspring to become magnetized, and then the watch will not run properly.
@kendalltull98544 жыл бұрын
The Breitling mesh has a similar sizing but it actually has mesh links that can be removed to adjust the size. Completely different cost obviously but that is the best mesh bracelet in the business. One way around the sliding keeper would be to epoxy the keeper in place on the lower band so it can't move. If they actually do solve the problem, I would definitely pick up one of these as I really like the look and comfort of a mesh.

I don’t quite get why they didn’t make the floppy end of the mesh bracelet magnetic, like Apple does on their milanaise loop bracelet.
@mr22guy4 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind that stainless steel is non-magnetic. There would have to be a part in the bracelet made of a different material for the magnetic end to attract, such as mild steel or nickel. Mild steel rusts and some people are allergic to nickel.
@pherble4 жыл бұрын
I purchased one of the Dumas back earlier in the year when they also included the bracelet and felt the high polished surfaces make it seem like it has a cheap chrome plating. For that reason I gifted it to some else, but if a PVD or bronze a la Tesserai was available I'd take the plunge again as I think the retro design is brilliant.

I've started to realize hands are my number one pet peeve when it comes to watches - The perfect hands having those "thin pointy bits" at the end, making sure you can tell exactly how many minutes past the hour it is. It's also important that the hands look as they belong to the watch - the blue Spinnaker looks as if the hands were picked randomly - the hour and second hands look like they belong to a different watch. 03:01: "No sizing possible with this one". 07:37: "This one is infinitely adjustable". Good thing it improved in less than 5 minutes. I agree they have gone overboard on that bracelet - it's like wearing a ball bearing on your arm - a miracle they stopped at 4 mm thickness and didn't go for 5, 6 or a couple of inches.
