There is no such thing as a 'no date'. This is the Submariner. There is also the Submariner 'Plastic Blob' which was once lovely, but tragically had a calendar stuffed into it and something like a teddy bear's eyeball glued on to the front.

I have never tired of wearing a Submariner since March 1975. My Rolex watches are derivatives of the Submariner dial.

Just purchased the 124060 41mm sub. It is 153 grams with 2 links taken out. 114060 40mm was 135 grams and more comfortable all day wearer.

I own both references and have weighted both, 124060 153g / 114060 150g both with 2 links removed.

They made millions of the older ceramic Sub that Rolex is quietly calling its design a mistake by returning the new Sub41 to the purest design of the 5 digit Sub now with better movement. No way the blocky older Sub is going to have any collectors premium. Even suggesting this is a attempt to prime the market value of this older model. Might as well suggest the order Date Just II is asking a premium over the DJ41.😂

In the last 20 years, the emerging market collector’s wrist size is definitely smaller so what is with the massive oversize clasp, oversize lug size and noisy movement. The BB58 is perfect at 39mm in case size, perfect 20mm lug size and thickness of just 11.9 mm….The new sub should have followed the same sizes as the BB58! The new 41mm is clunky compared to the perfect proportions of BB58.

The sub could be smaller and doesn't need 300m it could be 200m, its the thick back that makes it not wear flat on the wrist.. the 58 fits perfect..
