What about Remington Golden Sabers, Montana Gold Bullets, Federal Cape-Shok Sledgehammers, and lots of inexpensive FMJ? All utilize brass in their projectiles.
@Militaryarmschannel
@Militaryarmschannel 6 жыл бұрын
Brass jackets aren't regulated, entirely brass bullets the ATF deems to be armor piercing. Under federal law, armor-piercing ammunition is defined as any projectile or projectile core that may be used in a handgun and that is constructed entirely from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass, bronze, beryllium copper, or depleted uranium.

Military Arms Channel I see now. It is also important to note that there is a "sporting purpose" clause, which is why things like Lehigh Defense and Nosler's machined brass hunting bullets are still around.

This pistol has been on my radar since maybe 2015, after buying a 10mm Tanfoglio. I was very interested in seeing it perform, due to it's uniqueness. Thank you for being the first youtuber to do a really detailed, quality assessment of it. Really cool pistol. I just wish I had the $8k to foot the cost to get one. 😁😂

Over time, his integrity was put to the test and stood up for what he believes in. This is definitely one of the better firearms channel. I know a lot of people like Hickok, Demo Ranch. But they're not my type per se...especially Demo Ranch, that kid is going to hurt himself one day. He's a bit reckless in my opinion. Perhaps he should stick to practicing animal medicine.

I'm a machinist / tool and die maker. I make a fairly decent income, but even for me this handgun is WAY out of my price range. I understand that it's basically a rifle round in a pistol format, I understand it being brand new and hence a high price.The manufacturing quality seem to be spot on, and fit and finish look above par as well. But I can buy a used car for the cost of this handgun! Because of your reviews I have bought a Bushmaster ACR, an IWI Tavor, and an FN P90. Love them all, but this handgun costs more than the three of those combined! This video was the most informative on this handgun bar none, and I expect nothing less from you Tim. Semper Fi brother.

Mac I would be down with longer videos. It's tier 1 information. The gun is cool but proprietary ammo and a steep cost of the handgun itself won't help it. I do love the fact you have a random $900 gun in the Jeep.

Was chuckling at the initial story about the radar not picking up the bullets as they were moving too fast, and I kept chuckling like that until the "2082" popped up on the chrono. Nearly had a heart attack. When you said the radar thought it was too fast for a pistol, I didn't expect it to be well within .300 Blackout range. Holy shit.

Agreed. It's more powerful than the 5.7 or 4.3 (not that HK would let us civilian plebs touch that round) and I don't know why BRNO wouldn't build this as a USW type gun if they really want it to be a viable "second weapon". I seriously wonder what they're thinking... Do they want to make the new Desert Eagle or something?

If I didn't misunderstand, he said the average velocity was 2055 feet per second. That's strange, because the slowest velocity was 2061 per second, the highest was 2082 feet per second. Therefore the average would have to be somewhere between these two speeds. If I'm wrong on this, someone please correct me. 2082, 2061, 2076, 2077, 2064; avg. 2072

Yep, I caught that as well. I always make a habit of estimating averages on the fly every time another number is called out, whether measuring speed or decibels. Tim you should do a real comparison of the 7.5 vs 9x25 dillion. Maybe some ballistic tests at 25meters. Also shoot through random things like car doors and maybe through a lazyboy, simulated drywall, and into gel (like iv8888 did in the 45acp Lehigh defense video). It would be cool to see just how similar yet different the 2 rounds are.

Absolutely agree. FYI, Truth About Guns did a video on it. Just shooting a soda bottle and a water jug, but it's still something. The comparison is pretty obvious, though. I think the 7.5 FK is based on a cut down 10mm Magnum (or basically a slightly lengthened 10mm Auto). So even the parent cases are fairly similar.

It be fun to come up with a competition and compare all 3 in a head to head battle. The original Soviet bottle neck vs the two modern equivalents. Also, have you heard anything about Bruno fielding this round in a rifle? Seems like this would make a very nice compact smg or sbr round.

As freaking badass as it is, I can't really see a reason to get this over something like a Deagle in .44 Mag or a .460 Rowland 1911. Both of them come in right around the $1k mark and fire rounds that aren't anywhere near as rare or hard to reload as the 7.5fk is. That said, if I ever win the lottery....

The $1,600 version of this gun will out perform a Deagle .44 Mag when it comes to capacity, armor penetration, velocity, range and flatness of trajectory. The proprietary ammo is a big drawback, but honestly, the price tag of the second version of this gun isn't that bad when compared to classic high-velocity magnum pistols.

Major League Swag Out. I agree. I am not a fan of ARs chambered in pistol calibers. I hate they way they look. ARs look so stupid with stick mags. I want to throw up everytime I see one. Get a CZ Scorpion or Mp5 clone or something if you want a pistol caliber carbine. I personally think ARs are still some of the best looking rifles out even after being out for over 50 years. Don't ruin an AR by chambering it in a pistol caliber.

I am surprised it took this long for someone to bring the 762x25 into the 21st century. It is a more powerful cartridge but it really seems like a descendant of the concept of the 762x25. I am impressed. We need more pistols in this cal. Probably would run great in a sub gun. Just like 762x25 did. It also figures that the Czech's would do it considering their CZ-52 pistol.

Military Arms Channel I realize that on average the 7.62x25 round travels 400 -500 ft/sec, slower then the 7.5 brno, however I believe there are some loads of 7.62 x.25 which approach 1800 ft/sec. This is getting close to the 7.5 brno territory. In fact I think you did a video where you shot some Bulgarian milsurp that actually also penetrated 3A body armor.

I'm not so sure. It wouldn't be much smaller than a 5.56 or 300BLK AR, would have similar performance, and the cost to shoot would be 5 or 6 times more. The pistol is where this ammo shines.

Let’s not forget that this is the newest production pistol cartridge to date, used by only one platform which is also new to the market. It’ll take a while for another manufacturer to be allowed to design a gun around this caliber, and even more time to make one that can handle the operation. There’s still little to no loading or operating data on the 7.5 fk even though it’s nearly eight years old. The price point is therefore warranted. No one else uses the round, and it’s so new that there needs to be a higher demand to make it mainstream.
