I didn't have my microphone with me but I figured you guys would rather see a Momdre shopping video with not the best audio than not get one at all. And we didn't have time to taste test everything but I think The Vegan Zombie will have one out soon!

When I'm shopping I don't have little ones in the seat area so.... what I do is take the locking straps you would put around a child sitting there, loop them through the purse handle and clip them locked. If someone takes my purse, especially on the run, they are going to draw quite a bit of attention dragging the entire shopping cart with them that is connected to my purse. A family friend had her purse stolen out of her shopping cart also. This was at a local Costco. Some guy grabbed and ran. Luckily other shoppers saw what was happening and wrestled the guy to the ground and waited for the authorities. The kid seat buckle is an easy way to protect your purse...and remember to zip it shut also. Great video, Craig and Momdre.

Glenda B. I do the same thing! I also saw a jerk try to take a purse that had been clipped in the child buckle. He yanked that thing and hit himself with the cart and kind of tripped into it when it jerked the backend around. He didn’t get the purse but got a-lot of laughing!!! Some guy yelled smooth move exlax! There were 3 others of us in the aisle that couldn’t stop laughing!! He wasn’t caught but it got me to regularly fasten that belt every time.

Great tip! I have a carabiner that I use to clip my car keys to my purse. I also use it to clip my purse to my shopping cart as well; the strap on the carts is too wide to clip to my purse or sometimes the strap clip part is broken--so I am always covered :)

I do the same. It is make me comfortable. But I prefer taking my backpack or when I go shopping. That helps keep the stress of worrying about my purse as well.

It's so satisfyingly entertaining watching your moms shop with precise precision at alidis!! Quick funny when terry was looking for the squeeze basil my brain said it's by the small section of the veggie and organic fruit section above the stuff!! Terry it's right there!! But, ha ha that's where it is at the local grocery store (dierbergs) where I go to buy most groceries..so, there you go just drive to stl, mo oakville...and it's there with the other tube herbs squeezes!! Basil paste in the stores where I shop is usually with the produce. If there are fresh herbs, the herbs in tubes are always nearby.

This reminds me so much of me and my mom. She loves shopping at ALDI. Except for being vegan, my mom is gluten-intollerant (Hashimoto disease). I also HATE olives. I think my mom has the same coat too.

Omgoodness..I can’t believe how Huge your ALDI is compared to ours!! I hear I’m not the only one who thinks this. We just had a remodel, nothing munched changed except 2 or 3 more isles, BUT they made the previous isles thinner. We had to laugh, they closed for 2 weeks for more compact isles. I want your ALDI here!

I always get the shopping cart with issues too. Once I got one that started screaming half way through the store, it was awful, and of course I couldn't stop laughing. I asked the cashier if I could fill out a repair order on the cart, she didn't think I was as funny as I did. At least I tried to spare the next person to get that cart the stress.

Is it a brand new Aldi or did they remodel your old one? Mine got a remodel. It was closed for like 3 months and they changed everything. It looks so much bigger than it used to but they did not add on to anything. They made the aisles more wide open and not so cramped.

The aldi I went to today (in CT) had teriyaki flavored baked tofu near the fancy cheeses, and the squeeze herbs were in an aisle of randomness. Mine didn't have nearly as many frozen vegan options though.
