Harbor Freight just came out with some new Microfiber towel options and to be honest.. I am blown away and the cost and quality of these. They released a 12 pack of edgeless 350gsm towels and a new 24x36 drying towel. In addition to the new microfiber towels, they also released a new battery powered rotary polisher from their Hercules brand... ENJOY!!!

Hey Josh, great video! Thanks for taking a look at these. I am one of the folks who helps oversee the auto care items for Harbor Freight and thought I would share a few tidbits of info for you. The drying towel had all-new material compared to the towel it replaced with a new, more premium blends that are higher in polyamide (which absorbs) vs polyester (which glides better on glass). Each side is unique, so that is why the packaging doesn't go into it, but here are the splits: Gray side: 90% polyester, 10% polyamide; Neon green side: 75% polyester, 25% polyamide. So it is going to perform a bit better on paint and glass when it comes to absorption than the outgoing towel. If you have any other questions, feel free to ping me! -MK

Markus, I've been using these HF drying towels exclusively for over a year based on your information on your channel. As a DIY detailer, love them, and have no issues whatsoever with them. Since I have 2 of them already, I see no reason to buy a new, third one at this time. I will pick up a package of the new 16X16 plush towels today!

Thanks for the info. I really wanted to try to new microfiber towels but they never had them in stock around me so I gave in and ordered from the rag company. Great stuff but these would have been much easier on my wallet. Great to see HF getting some higher quality stuff.

I recently bought 3 different sets of towel from Harbor Freight. I got the gray/green drying towel shown in this video & it works great. They did not have the purple /green pair there but I picked up a 3 pack of waffle weave 16x16 & a 12 pack of regular 12x12 & they all are amazing quality & under & under $30 for all of them! You actually turned me on to Harbor Freight with the video you did on the waffle weave & thank you for that! They have great microfiber towels for an amazing low price!

Great Video Josh, I went to HF the other day but didn’t notice these towels yet. I did notice that their 21mm Bauer Polisher was 75$ (marked down from $100) for ITC members. I purchased the cheaper 8mm Bauer model a few weeks ago and will be going and trading up. Might have to grab these towels while I’m there though. Thanks again and love your passion and Honesty!

If enough people ask I would appreciate you do a review of the hercules rotary polisher, because I was curious about it, do to my co workers using the delwalt rotary polishers, and was curious if it would perform well enough to keep up with them. Hi Josh. The gray side is 90%, 10% and green side is 75% and 25% per their website in their specification tab. I have these but I haven’t used them yet. Now I’m out to buy the other microfiber towels. Thanks for all the reviews!

Yes Josh do a review of the Hercules 20v cordless brushless rotary. I just bought one for 80.00 on sale and the rapid charger + 5ah battery... Haven't had a chance to use it yet due to heavy rain here the past few days and I don't have a garage to work in. Thank you in advanced...I was going to buy the new DA rotary by Hercules but wanted cordless this time around.

I've been having linting problems for some time with the 300-400gsm towels that I've purchased from The Rag Company and have been looking for a new towel for my sealant-removal duties. I'll have to try these. Thanks again for your work Josh.

Glad I'm not the only one. I've been lucky with the 300, 325, and 350s but their 500 Eagles leave a ton of lint behind. Love how plush they are, but a lot of fibers left behind. They told me that if any of the towel is not wet with the product, the fibers will break off.

I picked up the Fortress 175 psi 26 gallon compressor and some 7" Bauer yellow pads. The pads were $10, but same quality as the Rupes. Very impressed with the quality of some of their items. Particularly the top model Icon boxes. Been a long time since I've stepped into a HF, and was pretty impressed with this "cheap" compressor too. Same as California air, half the price. Wish I would have seen the rags, you can never have too many!

Like all microfiber towels, the consumer is routinely advised to properly wash them FIRST. Today, 23.1212, I just picked up 4 packs of these (350gsm) towels from the SLO, CA HF for $4.99/pk (ITC price). I will be returning 2 still undelivered Rag Co. 10-count packs of their 300 gsm offerings and I will come out ahead by $15 after returning their "sale priced" packs. Stoked on value. Sorry Rag Co. As a consolation, I did keep two of their very large Dreadnaught and Meganaught drying towels. Expensive despite discounts but definitely soak up absolute volumes of water. I now have Hercules battery powered polisher you are talking about it is bad azz ! it's works fantastic ! I own a bunch of the Hurcules tool's they are very high quality right with Milwaukie quality stuff for less than half the price ... I have 10 of the hercules battery powered tools they have never failed, and are great tool's ... The battery powered polisher is multi speed 800,1200,1600,2000,2400 is marked on the speed selector but it does have speed clicks in between those number's for a totall of 9 speed selection's this unit is very light with good power especially for a battery operated polisher , and it has the 5 year warranty with the kick ass brushless motor this one is awesome to use because it is so light with no annoying electrical cord to deal with after using this i am sure my corded unit will be collecting dust ! 20v 5 ah battery gives decent life i have several of this size , and i would suggest having 2 of them so you can have 1 charging while 1 is in use for bigger jobs .. i just used it on my z28 ls1 convertible car today , and used it on 3 other cars i have in the last 3 days prepping my car's for ceramic coating , and it just kick's ass ! so light on the arms ....

Hey man, great video! Have a question, though- are these towels lint-free right out of the packaging, or is that post-wash? Seems like just about every microfiber towel I've ever bought that claimed to be lint-free only achieved that claim after washing, if at all. Would love to find something truly lint-free, and especially one that is useable in a pinch. Thanks again, bro, for your hard work and research on these vids.

i find after towels have been washed now than 15 times, they start linting. they aren't made to last forever anyway. i use dedicated glass towels ...if you're towel is lifting it's at the end of its life. toss or use for engine bay and wheels then toss. wash n dry them correctly and they won't lint. if they do they're falling apart and must be discarded

According to their web site the new 24x36 drying towel on the Gray side: 90% polyester, 10% polyamide; Neon green side: 75% polyester, 25% polyamide. The old grey towel is 87% polyester, 13% polyamide.

I will pick up some edgeless towels for sure. But their drying towels are crap. I retired them all to the kitchen. I prefer “The Gauntlet” from the Rag Company (amazing 🤩). The Brushless rotary polisher (battery) looks awesome feels like quality. And so much quieter than the original corded Bauer polisher.

Be careful with HF's Portland Pressure washer. That 20% restocking fee applies even if the item is defective (which seems illegal). They don't care. They'll make you pay to test the product for them. Towels should be fine.

I typically go with a low gsm low pile to minimize linting, but just personal preference. But I like a bit more absorption of I can and since these didn’t lint I will be using these more, it will be interesting to see if there are any quality issues between packs once I start going through them more

I am going to start by saying I was the driving force behind launching these, so consider my bias, but I am confident folks will agree that the new Grant's towels are a higher quality than Costco. I have been checking Costco towels and they have changed suppliers and it seems lowered quality over the last two years, so I find the Grant's towels to be much thicker and a true 350GSM. -MK
