I also emailed Ruger, they confirmed the Gen2 fits Gen1 stocks, so if someone wants to throw one in a Krg or other chassis they can. These are supposed to be smooth and very accurate for the price. 👍🏻🇺🇸

Was about ready to drop the coin on an American Predator, then Ruger drops this Gen 2 and PSA shows up to SHOT with a "build your own from the factory" concept. Now I'm back to square one with decision-making...

Does the PSA accept standard AR mags? This is a big reason why I’m getting the Ruger American.
@stevem4783
@stevem4783 7 ай бұрын
@@VincitOmniaVeritas7 Not sure. If I had to wager a guess, no, just because it looks like it was designed mostly like a Rem 700, but that's only an assumption on my part. I agree though, AR mag compatibility is a big plus.
@TheHumanFlag

Well if Ruger has your caliber in the gen 2 you can’t get it now. PSA you’d have to wait
@stevem4783
@stevem4783 7 ай бұрын
@@TheHumanFlag yeah, that's true. I want two different calibers, 5.56 and .308 to compliment the two extremes of bolt rifles I already have (.22LR and .300winmag.) I suppose maybe I'll grab the Ruger in 5.56 while I'm waiting on the PSA and see if that comes out in a reasonable amount of time. The PSA is intriguing just because of how they teased the factory customization.

For real. Stag/Aero have their bolt guns now, and both the Stag and the Solus are going for 1500-3000 dollars. FUCK THAT. At that money I'm gonna go get a damn gucci Savage or Tikka or Bergara. NO FUCKING WAY am I spending used car money on an Aero or a Ruger. The Ruger Gen 2 is right where it should be. Sub MOA accuracy with a cheap but improved stock for about $650 and below, street price. The PSA Bolt gun will probably be 700-1500. Too much but we'll see what it does - maybe the price might be justified. WHo knows. Its PSA. I still think Savage makes the best bolt guns for the money, south of Bergara... but I'm bias because I'm Spanish... love Bergara.

Ruger rep may have lost his razor somewhere, but his long beard did not cloud his knowledge. Great to see his enthusiasm and insight on the new iterations. I always felt like some of those Ruger had a very gritty bolt action especially when using AR or Mini magazines. This seems like a great improvement with great attention to detail. Great coverage by Hop and TFBTV.

Well, I got a couple Gen I rifles (American Hunter 308 and American Rimfire) that both have the 'zip" when you operate the bolt but they both shoot fine. That said, if I'm ever in the market for another bolt gun, it's good to know Ruger stepped it up a bit.
