The Audi RS5 Coupé is incredibly fast in a straight line, handles amazingly in the corners and is a refined, comfortable and easy car to live with on a day to day basis.
Compared to a standard Audi A5 Coupe or the A5 Sportback, the RS5 gets a much more aggressive look with wider wheel arches that are reminiscent of the original Audi Quattro. There are three trims levels available, with entry level trim getting19-inch rims & LED Matrix headlights plus a decent sports suspension. However, If you fancy turning things up a bit, Audi offers a Carbon Black version as well as a range topping Vorsprung model, which adds unique 20-inch alloys, a gloss-black styling pack and RS Sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC).
This new RS5 gets a 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine and thanks to a pair of turbos, it will give you 444bhp with 600NM of torque. Linked to a sports differential, Audi's all wheel drive Quattro system and a whisper smooth eight speed gearbox, this means the RS5 will do 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 174mph. I must admit, it does feel extremely quick when you give it the beans.
On the highway, the RS5 is quiet, composed and really comfortable, at the end of the day that's what this car was built to do. The seats, driving position and luxurious interior all contribute to the RS5’s premium GT feel. Prices for the RS 5 Coupe start at around £74,000, a figure that puts it squarely up against its BMW and Mercedes rivals.
