I’m loving all my AB products too....and this Exfoliating Toner Essence is actually one of my favorite products they’ve put out (aside from the rich cream)! I really like the Cream Cleansing Gel, but it isn’t a holy grail cleanser for me. My too 3 HG cleansers are La Mer The cleansing foam, IS clinical cleansing complex, and La Mer Cleansing Gel. What is it that you dislike about the AB Cream Cleansing Gel? What was your experience? What are some of your favorite cleansers???

Thank you very much, Claudia. While I do love the essence, I which they made a toner/essence w/o an exfoliator. While exfoliation is important, I can’t use a leave on exfoliant daily, as it sensitizes my skin. Sine the essence contains salicylic acid, I can only use it 1-2 times a week:) 💛

I found that using it daily ended up sensitizing me skin. I don't use leave on AHA/BHA products.. I prefer using a cleanser with enzymes/acids. Those work better for me. My favorite exfoliating cleaner has been the Auteur Enzyme cleanser. I'm OBSESSED with it. I can use it many days in a row, and have Xero sensitivity :)

Hi Ciara! Thanks for watching and interacting! I’ve seen the Defenage product before but have never personally used it. I think they have wonderful ingredients, I LOVE that they have a fragrance free option for all of their formulas too! That’s something I’ve not seen with many brands, and I wish more brands would have fragrance free options available for at least some of their products. If you’re getting great results with your current cream and serum, there’s no need to switch. If you’re bored, it’s definitely worth checking out ‘The introductory duo’ from Augustinus Bader. 2 of my favorite creams are La Mer original créme, and the AB Rich cream. I love the cream as well, but the rich cream seems to give me more plumpness (for my skin type). Since you’re using your Curology cream, be sure to skip the toning exfoliating Essence on the nights you’re using the Curology. The Essence has polyhydroxy acids which could potentially cause irritation when combined with other acids and the retinoid in your Curology. I use tretinoin every night so I use my AB Essence in the morning, and I use La Mer treatment lotion as my Essence in the evenings. Let me know what you think of the AB toning exfoliating Essence after you’ve used it for a while. If you try the AB creams, I’d love to hear your feedback. The AB creams have made THE biggest improvement in my skin than any other cream has done before. La Mer is the most soothing and calming...and I’ll never be without a jar of it ;) 💛

The Exfoliating toner Essence is a great way to incorporate the TFC8 in to your skincare routine. This product was formulated for daily use. Salicylic acid is a gentle acid and is safe for daily use. Depending on your skin type, tolerance, and routine, this may or may not be a product you’d use 2x/daily. If you use a retinoid, a general rule of thumb is to use your acid in a daytime routine and retinoid in an evening routine. I use my La Mer treatment lotion in the evening, prior to my tretinoin, and the AB Exfoliating Toner Essence in the morning. I’ve not had any issues with this regimen. 💛

Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I’ve not used that product line, but here’s what I gather from a few things I know of it. Specifically, you Can’t use the p50 1970 with retinoic acid or any type of hydroxy acids (aha). You also can’t use that product while pregnant. P50 seems to be an exfoliating toner. Augustinus Bader explication toner Essence is a 3-in-1 product and contains the patented TFC8 which is like a genetic code for your skin cells and forces them to act like younger healthier cells. The P50 range has some wonderful ingredient and I love that’s it’s a shirt list. If you’re loving that product and it works...there’s no need to switch. If you’re looking for something a little different, and you’d like to incorporate TFC8 in to your routine...or even simply it further, I’d definitely recommend trying this product! 💛

Honestly, this product will be more beneficial than the cleanser. If you had to choose between the two, I’d go with this...especially since the ingredient stay on your skin and rn is takes place of multiple products. ;) For Sun protection, Right now I’ve been enjoying ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless broad spectrum SPF50. Perhaps I should do a video of sunscreens I like and dislike soon.

Also, you can search PDO threads, and that will give you info on what I’m talking about. It’s a cosmetic procedure;)

@@Vanidiy Thanks for all the tips. I'm definitely going to look up the threads to educate myself before your video. I recently brought a Korean Sunscreen Missha Sun Milk SPF50+ Pa (whatever that is). I started to lose confidence in USA approved sunscreen ingredients. I was formerly using Colorscience. Would look forward to your sunscreen recommendations. Yes, for the very same reason you said that the toner stays on the skin, I would get more bang for my buck, lol

Yes, I would only use the essence in the AM if you’re using vitamin A in the evening. I’ve stopped using the essence because I found my skin becoming sensitized....but that’s normal for me; my skin has never worked well with a leave on exfoliant. Don’t let that be a deterrent though. Many people love this product (as do I). My skin just doesn’t do well with leave on exfoliants :) 💛

@@avelinn8 I love weekly exfoliation. I enjoy AnteAge Regenzyme (only licensed esthetician’s can get this). I also really LOOOOVE my tripollar geneo weekly oxygenation facial. It’s a great kit and the products are about 30.00 for a months use (less if you use my 20% off code CHRISTOPHERMCGR through the TriPollar site! I also really enjoy Skin Regimen enzymatic powder from Comfort Zone. It’s an Italian eco friendly carbon neutral salon/spa brand. I also really like La Mer Replenishing oil exfoliator.

I only use the toner occasionally. Using any leave on exfoliant daily, sensitizes my skin. I think it’s a wonderful product if you can tolerate leave on exfoliants, and it is gentle. The eye cream is fine. I’m not a fan of eye creams, personally. I’m happy just using my rich cream under my eyes.

Don’t take my word for it, go to the website and see for yourself. This is a 3-in-1 product. That’s why it’s called the “exfoliating toning essence”. As someone who’s a licensed cosmetologist, I’m certainly aware of how to apply products. Seeing a dirt cotton pad doesn’t indicate that a product is a toner, exfoliatior, or exfoliating toner. A dirty cotton pad just indicates your cleanser didn’t take off all of your product, nothing more. I appreciate your input, but you don’t need to tell me “that’s not how to apply a toner”. Correct, this isn’t “just” a toner. You’re welcome to use a cotton pad with the product; this is an “alternative application” for use of product. You weren’t asking me a question. You yelled at me “that’s not how you apply a toner!” This is why I was defensive and directed you to the website. Yes, as I stated in my response…you can use a cotton pad “as an alternative method”. No- the product doesn’t sting.

Seeing as how SK-II Facial Treatment Essence is 99.00 USD for 75mls and La Mer Treatment lotion is 115.00 USD for 96mls... yes, I’d say that 85.00 for 100mls IS in fact a good price point compared to other luxury brands...which is what I was comparing this too, as stated in the video. I like the product and think it performs wonderfully! I do think you’d like it if you like chemical exfoliants and things that multitask. I have since cut back on the usage of it, as my skin just doesn’t like leave on exfoliating products. My skin does better with weekly exfoliation from enzymes or mechanical exfoliation, and chemical peels. If you try the product, let me know how it works for you! :) Be well.
