Great new gear! The Sven saw is great! Packs down small and covers the blade. You’re right about the wing nut. Need to be careful it doesn’t get lost but I like the hack you did. I’ll try it out. 👍

Have both lengths of the Sven. One for the truck and one for the pack. They are VERY sharp indeed.

Looking forward to coming along with you, especially since you can cut up all the firewood with the new Saw! PS, I like my S2S Cup that fits over my Toaks Cup Lid! But now have to look at this new ripped version for saving the fingers and not having to hold by the little ring at the top of the cup!

Like lots of solo hikers, my cook pot was my coffee cup, but I always hated that my coffee had to happen before or after my other meal prep until I got my collapsible STSummit cup last year; not as cool as yours (no fins), but love that my cook pot "sits" on it when collapsed in the pot's mesh bag (with fuel and stove in cook pot), so it didn't take up any new space in my usual loadout. I've yet to make a cup that was too hot to hold (damn pour overs filter so slowly!). Thanks for the content. Any Ohio or Kentucky trips planned?

Yes, I thought of that after I finished editing. I'll do a more detailed vid of the saw once I've used it in the field a few times and have some real-world use under my belt.

Thanks for sharing, I currently carry a little folding Fiskers folding saw and have been looking for something else. I'll have to research the Sven Saw, it looks like it'll do a better job than my current saw. Thanks again! -dave

Thank you, sir! I realized after the fact I should've opened the saw up and showed how it worked. But yes, it is a fantastic saw and you won't be sorry. Only thing I recommend is to get either the sheath they sell or some kind of protection for the end so it doesn't rub your pack. That Hiking Guy recommended to me getting one of those silicon handle protectors for Lodge cast iron pots. Those are a perfect fit and work well.

@@OutLan I went directly to REI's website after watching the video and saw how it opened and looked like. I'll research the sheath and the silicon handle protectors. We used the hell out of my Fiskers saw last weekend. My nephew and I went to Mohican Saturday night and woke up to snow Sunday. Cut a lot of firewood with that little saw. LOL -dave
