Greetings Helen, thank you for the helpful review. I am going to be moving to Thailand to train for several months. I usually wear vivo barefoot shoes for training and due to stepping my training level and frequency up significantly, I'm looking for a wide foor breathable cross training shoe to invest in. I tried these on in store, they certainly were wide and my foot felt free. I'm just wondering now about the breathability as you mentioned as thailand is very humid. I believe my main training is going to be weights, walking and some mobility/agility training. Do many shoes are far to narrow for me, hence being pleasantly suprised by the width on these, I did have to size up a full size. Any suggestions, would be much appreciated thank you.

Yes, the Rebel is relatively firm compared to the 1080 and 880 - it’s firmer and snappier!

@@trailandkale I got some 880 from 3-4 years ago. Went to New Balance today to test new shoes (880 vs. 1080) The 1080 have significantly less hold (sides) than the 880. The 1080 are more bouncy though with more foam. I went again for the 880 (v14) and stick with them as my Ankle didn't had enough hold with the 1080s. The shop had some scanner (for the feet) and the AI recommended me 1080 or 880 as well. I think it's just important to know that people like me tried Adidas and Nike and Rebook. But in the end these New Balance 880 or 1080 are the ones that fit my feet. Adidas and Nike for example are often not wide enough. So my only criticism for your Conclusion is... there might be better shoes out there than the NB 880v14 .. but sometimes the 880 just fit the feet of the runner perfectly.
