Great review! I just picked up my 990v6s yesterday and they didn't leave my feet til I went to bed! I've been a Nike and Adidas guy for most of my life. Yeah, I had a couple of pairs of NBs, but wasn't that crazy about them, largely because I didn't ensure that I had the right fit. Not this time! I went to my local NB store and got them to fit me. In a word, WOW!!! Thanks again for the great review.

990v3 and v5 are heavy in my rotation due to their comfort and sharp looks. I’m not feeling the chunky midsole yet, but I can see these growing on me eventually.

Either NB is underrated, or people just don’t know. Just grabbed a pair of the OG Protection pack CW off Goat myself, but need some new 990’s too.

I bought a pair of 990 about 8 years ago at a department store. Loved ‘em, and ordered them online next time, surprised that they were still available. (I had no idea they were an ongoing thing.) Now I am on v6 and still loving them.

They really stacked the foam on this one. Looks a little chunkier than previous 990s

Fun fact: when I was a kid I thought N stood for Nike and I liked them better. These were the days when pops would take me to the rack in like Kmart and say find your size. So I had no point of reference, had never walked up to a wall and asked someone if they had my size or even saw a sneaker box b.
