My Vongo 6’s gusseted tongue was torn on both shoes due to manufacturing defect - the elastic band on the gusseting detached from the tongue.

Have the Kayano 30's and use them for recovery days while I use the Tempus for long runs and tempo runs. Had Vongo 5's and ended up donating them to RRS with the Pyramid V2 and the original Fuel Ceell

@@MadLadsAnonymous it has dual foam and is both. I have had issues with shoes breaking down in the medial mid sole area on the right foot since turning 50 and these shoes have not shown any sign of this break down even after 500 miles.

Perhaps the Vongo would be more comparable with the GT2000 12 instead.

im a asics fan but the kayano30 is dead>harsh ride, soft for walking but running its stiff and if its cold its hard.

The Vongo is a total disaster for a moderate to severe pronator, I don’t know where New Balance goes with these model… Kayano is way better recommended for pronators and flat feet, it protects a lot even the metatarsal zone and stays long time without deformation. I totally destroyed Vongo v5 and v6 in few weeks smashing the medial midsole with my displaced weight translation caused by my flat feet.
