I have driven both. Altroz has 5 star but lacks refinement, poor service and bad sales experience. Baleno is an best all-rounder especially the New-gen. Nothing can beat the refinement of Japanese engineering with the 4 cylinder engine. Suzuki's 1.0ltr 3cylinder engine is also way more refined and responsive than Altroz. Its feels like Tata is still at beta stage. lots of improvement is needed to attract customer. My pick Baleno.

I also bought Altroz XZA DCA last month and also have a Tiago XZ petrol 2017 which I have happily driven 54000kms. Only Reason I went for altroz is the confidence and comfort Tiago used to give me while driving on highways. Altroz is good but seating is very low which makes it little bit difficult for judgement and also I have started getting backpain due to which I bought lumbar support and tailbone seat for myself 😊. Im pretty confident about revtron engines bcos my tiago is still full of life and can do another 50000km without any issues. Only worry is DCA gerabox which Im not sure how reliable it is. Ideally it shouldn't give any trouble for atleast 1 lakh kms with one oil change at 50k kms.

I have new Altroz. No engine vibration and sound in cabin. You are comparing wrong Altroz, compare with bs6phase2 , engine is more refined than older.

In conclusion, both are are good in their own way. When it comes to comparison, baleno is far better than altroz in terms of drivebility and confort. Only altroz has build quality. If truck hits both of them then only fate can help u out nothing else😂

Lot of complaints of Tata cars. Only the body is strong other things are a waste. The service is very bad by the dealers. They just want to dispose off the cars and about service the dealers are very indifferent towards the customers. They don't help the customers. So the service is very very bad.
