I've had the mumba girl power case for a month now. It is actually my only case so far (I'm a switch newbie). I love the fact it keeps the console like a unibody (something I was looking for in the first place, to avoid joycon wobbling) but I still can take out the joycons if I want to without removing the case. I was skeptical about the coating too, but I haven't had any issues during a month's use. My only complaint is how much this case is slippery when my hands get sweaty, so be aware of this. Overall, I'm really happy with this case

For me ergonomically & for actual gameplay, the Satisfye grip is the absolute best 💯 But for fall protection, Mumba has always been top notch. Great video Adam 👊😉

I have the Blade model. Switched the glass screen protector out for a thinner film protector and the docking is imacculate! Love this case ❤

Honestly I’m not sure. It’s definitely between the Battle Series and Skull n Co. However I’m testing out the new Satisfye grip and I’m really enjoying it. But all 3 are really different and each have their own benefits so it’s hard to say. In the next month or so I’ll probably do a video talking about my 5 favorite accessories for switch and I’ll include the grip I end up using as my go to. Great question Elliot, sorry I couldn’t give you a more clear answer. But honestly the best thing to do is order a few and then return all but the one you like. Sort of a hassle but each person is going to have their own grip preference so trial and error is really the only way to know for sure. Or just give one a shot see how you like it.

Of all the grip cases you've reviewed, which one is most comfortable for your thumb to switch from joystick to dpad with? Say you're playing smash bros and you wanna do a quick taunt after a kill, which one would let you achieve that with the least awkward transition feel?

Yoooo those title cards keep getting better and better 😂. Great video! I personally didn't like these cases I like the ones that have the grip sticking out next to the Joycon like a controller, but these are still cool!

I've got the battle series and I always take my joy cons before removing the case. Its definitely the best way to do it. It's easier and doesnt risk putting torque on any components.

Just ordered Mumba (Black Battle Series) for my Switch and a Mumba Blade Series for my Turquoise Switch Lite. I have held off on buying grips until I saw Mumba love the design and stealth look. Thanks for the great review of Mumba!

@@TimeLagGaming Please let me know if you find a travel bag style or deluxe style of case for the Switch Lite that with the Mumba blade grips on the device, it will fit into and close. Kind of having trouble. Fortunately, my NS/OG and existing (@Play) deluxe style case from Game Stop still works perfectly with Battle grips on -no problem while attached to NS/OG. Thanks!

Definitely, a great case for anyone who likes pink 👌 And yeah the hard removal of the battle series is a let down but like I said once you figure out the best way to remove it’s not an issue at all! But yeah the girl power one is easier to take off and it’s a great case 👍

I’m so glad you reviewed these cases!! I found the battle series case last week and hadn’t found any reviews on it. Was hoping the kickstand was as good as it looked. My only concern is finding a case that will fit the switch with the case on, as I hate taking them off.

Waterfield has a new City Slicker pouch that fits most grip cases, there’s also the Skull N Co case that you can buy separately that could fit these grips. I’ll try to keep an eye out for more!

I think I would have to agree with you about the Battle Series case. If I had a switch I think I’d mainly use it for playing games when I’m away from the dock And with this case it seems like it makes things easier by including a wider Stand so that it can stay up better than if I was using the actual stand while still being able to take the joy-cons out. And the case itself looks very comfortable to hold despite being pretty big. Great review Timelag 👍🏾

Another great video Adam. I’ve already got a blade case, it’s awesome, although tend to find have been taking it out of the blade case when docking, tight fit feels like dock wear n tear to me. Easy removal of joy cons is great

Are there any wireless bluetooth headphone adapters that are compatible with these cases, specifically with the battle series case?

The Gulikit should work, I’ve done a review on it. However you can also use any USB-C right angle adapter and any of them will work perfectly with it 👌

I feel like you’ve answered this a million times, but I’m still stuck between Mumba battle, satisfye, and skull and co cases. I’ve watched dozens of videos including yours but still can’t come to a conclusion. They all seem great but i just can’t decide. Could you please add a little more insight to help? Thanks

I'm in a similar situation, but I think I'm going to try out the satisfye grip. There aren't many videos on it, but they've recently upgraded the grip to a newer version, which is slightly less long on the right and is less prone to scratching. I think it's called the switchgrip pro. I figured that it works well for so many people and if the newer version is even better than I couldn't go wrong buying it. Also the convenience of being able to slide it on and off seems really nice to me

@@jonathanvo18 I do like those options but I do like the benefit of the mumba being very protective and able to take joycons out and it also has a sturdy kickstand.

Prox has a good point, they did just release their revised version and it is much better. I’ll have a review out on it soon. I’ll try to do some in depth comparison between the Mumba, the Battle and Satsifye in that video! It’s really hard to say though because it really just comes down to personal preference and you may just have to buy them and try each out. It’s pretty easy to return through amazon so that is an option. I think it comes down to, if you want the biggest grips in the style of a pro controller than Satisfye, if you don’t want grips that stick out and make the system wider, than go with the Skull n Co, and if you prefer the durability and kickstand of the Battle than go with the it. I’d say the Battle has the most minimal grips between the 3 but they are really well designed. It’s sort of an in between of the Satisfye and Skull n Co.

I love the blade case, been using it for a while now and for anyone worried about getting you switch bricked mine has not after 3 months. It felt more snug when u first purchased it but now it just glides into place when I dock it. I just wish the grips were slight larger but the angled cuts the put on them let me adjust my finger grips different ways to really help with fatigue. I played Minecraft for 8 hours the other day on it 😅 kinda lost track of time and man was it comfortable. Edit: also I just use cheap plastic HD clear screen protectors but they work great.

Is the girl power case as protective against drops as the others? I really prefer it but to me it just doesn’t seem to be as safe?

It’s not as rugged. As I said in the video the plastic is softer. However I’d say it’s still definitely protective. But if you are really worried I’d go for the battle series 👌

I have the girl power one (so cute and comfortable and easy to put on and take off), and my bf has the dockable one. Warning: it’s like semi-doackable? Like with a tempered glass screen protector and the grip the switch needs a bit of a push to go in the dock. And the grip itself gets scratched. And once it popped up a bit by itself and we had to push it back in. So we just take the case off when docking. It’s still comfortable and a good case. The girl power one is amazing though.

Desiancav I take the joycons off first makes it bit easier to take the switch out case it’s easy if you can get it right but for me I just take joycons off first then get the tablet out so I’m not using the joycons to pull on them.

I watched your review a month ago and loved it, so I got the girl power series when it was on sale here. I saw on the description that it was dockable but tried to do it earlier and I was bummed that it doesn’t fit the dock. 😢

Oh I’m sorry for the confusion! The description list the Blade Series as the dockable one though. Thats the only dockable one out of the three. How do you like it besides that?

@@TimeLagGaming Oh actually the description I'm saying is from Mumba or Supcase (who's the seller here) on the site I bought it on. 😅 But so far I love it! The grip feels nice, and I didn't really think I needed this kind of grip on my Switch but it's definitely a more comfortable experience. It's one of the things I never knew I needed. Thank you for recommending and giving an honest review!

I know right! Eventually it does start to show very light fingerprints but then they wipe off super easily.

Hey man, no idea if you'll see this, but I went ahead and bought that Battle Series Mumba grip from the end of the video. You mentioned it's sort of hard to take off, and I intend to be taking it on and off quite a bit for docking purposes. Do you think it has potential to damage the Switch over time, even just cosmetically? I always worry about these things scratching the plastic. Naturally I intend to follow your advice for removing it.

I suppose it’s possible it could wear over time, but over the few months I used it it didn’t really leave any marks that I noticed. As long as your careful you should be completely fine 👌

Hey im considering to buy blade / battle series / skull n co My consideration is for long hour use : Does mumba feel heavier than skull n co? What about mumba corner will it starting to hurt after hours to ur palm? Since for looks mumba definetly kills it Thanks before

The battle series is heavier than the skull n co but the blade series is about the same weight. Neither has hurt my palms when using it for long sessions. I would personally recommend the Battle series for comfort 👍

I tried out the blade for the lite. It was a bit awkward for the grip. It also felt like the lite would pop out at any moment.

Hi there, love your reviews. Can i ask which of the cases between battle and blade series can use the gulikit route pro. Because i have the gulikit route air and it cant fit most of my cases because its too thin. Please help. Thank you

The route pro should fit all of these cases but it’s more likely to fit on the blade. I don’t have the route currently so I can’t test it. But I’m thinking of doing a video comparing a bunch of the Bluetooth adapters so I’ll test it out then 👍

Do you know if the battle series grip still fits into the skull and Co docking station? And do you know a case that fits it? Wish Mumba would make their own cases for each grip

The battle series will not fit in the Skull N Co JumpGate dock unfortunately. The grip itself should fit into Skull N Co Max carry case. Or it will definitely fit into Satisfye’s pro gaming case which they now sell by itself.
