Congratulations on your new Aprilia Tuareg! It's hard to go wrong with that bike, especially with the cruise control factor. I seriously was ready to buy one over this winter but, I need something in the 100+ horsepower range because of my large build. However, those bikes with that much power are overpowering on the wallet. I resorted to used but they got sold before I could go buy them. So, I settled for a Triumph Speed Triple 1050 and love it. I have my DR650 for dualsport riding.

@@Motoeuro I think the Aprillia is a great choice for Europe. Although British, I live in Mongolia and there is no dealer / distributor network for Aprilia's here or even close. So, for me, if I were to get an adventure bike again, a Japanese bike would be more sensible. Or possibly a Chinese one. Or even KTM which has a dealer here. I can't really do much international riding since we're neighbored by unfriendly countries (Russia and China) but Mongolia is the size of Western Europe so there is good adventuring to be had in country. It's an off-road playground, practically fenceless with no rules about where you can ride.

The Tuareg 660 is probably the "better" bike. They're more difficult to find in America than the T7. As a result there is more of a premium and less availability for parts. The T7 has commonality with the other CP2 engine bikes. Comes down to convenience. I'd love to have a Tuareg 660 but it would be at least 30% more expensive IF I could find one. Plus, fully farkled T7's are on the used market cheaper than buying a new one now.

Congrats! Seems the ApriliaTuareg 660 is making inroads over the T7. Rightfully so, and Aprilia should realise this, and run with its success, by making it even better, and providing a strong client service base. It seems, that off the bat, you will need better bash plate (and there are some nice heavy duty ones aftermarket), bark buster hand guards, and exhaust that removes the the excess heat of the cat.

Test rode the Tuareg twice, thought it was a great bike (Quite tall for my 5"10 height but manageable) but in the end bought a ex demo Tiger 900 GT PRO - has everything the Tuareg has (Cruise Control, nice TFT screen, rider modes) but also Heated Seats, Heated Grips, Quick shifter as standard, Fog lights, crash bars as standard, electronically adjustable suspension, Phone connectivity, proper fuel cap, 3 USB sockets, more power better wind protection and cruising ability plus mine came with full Triumph Luggage, Top Box and 2 Side Panniers all for £10,000 same as the basic Tuareg. I still enjoy watching your videos of your Tuareg, but for me riding 99% on road think the Tiger was the best option. Congrats, on paper it beats the new Transalp, new P-Strom 800. Lighter, bigger tank than Honda, no inner tubes and cruise control. Hopefully it proves to be a reliable and worthy partner, interested to see your updates on the ownership experience.

I’m looking at the tuareg and the Transalp, I need it to get me to work every day. Do you still trust the Tuareg 1 year on?

I agree tuareg is a better bike the only thing that made me bought the t7 was the price, reliability and the presence of a Yamaha main dealer in my country, but mainly the price.

@@Motoeuro it doesn't work like that here anymore, not after the pandemic and a few other things that happened in my country. and the t7 was a lot cheaper, 5k+ cheaper D:
