Phew, it's a friend buying the bike. When I saw the title I was expecting a expansion of Jan 5th video, ala I'm going to test my wife yet again to see how much she really loves me.

Good choice! I bought an FX1 about 3 years ago. It just goes and goes. Still happy with it.

One thing I like with bike shops here is that they’ll service any bike. When the shop I bought my e-bike from shut down I took it to another place and they serviced it even though it has a Nuvinci gear hub that they had probably never serviced before. Victor’s bike looks great with the accessories added. And it was funny how pleased Thuong was with the toptube bag. I think the last year makes us all appreciate the little things in life and I hope we keep that mentality going :)

On a commuter bike you need full coverage fenders that mounts to the frame and fork. Front fender makes your feets cleaner and your drivetrain.

Nice! I was looking for a bike during the great bike shortage of 2020 and was looking at a Trek FX for fitness riding since gyms were closed, but they couldn’t get any in. The only option I found in stock was the 2021 Giant Escape so I had to get that one.

Tell Victor to mount his taillight to the back of his rack and not his seatpost. A bag or basket on his rack will block his taillight. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats to Victor on the awesome ride! He was lucky to have an expert advisor like Cruise to assist! That old Specialized 26er was a classic. The 10% off toward accessories is nice. Those deals are rare here in the US now due to new bike inventory being so low. Keep the rubber side down all!

Nice bike. I personally like the look of mountain bikes. I guess because of how beefy they look. City bikes don't look too bad though either. I think that it is cool that they put your extras on your bike for you. For me i would wait the two or three days for it just so my bike will be ready for the road. I wish they had a bike register here in the US. I think it would be useful for bikes that are stolen. Also having a good chain to lock your bike to deter thieves is key. Great video.

the wheels wear out.... lol , I make that mistake all the time too.

8 speed is good especially the chain is cheap and very easy to cut/connect compare to 9sp above. Though kinda not work well for 1x system even it's on narrow wide chain ring since it's easy to fell off, unless you're using bush guard or chain guide. Happy wedding Thuong and Cruise, and Happy riding for Victor too :)

The FX2 is a very good bike. Solid, easy to ride. But I really think that bikes like this would be better served not being 3xs. Most folks riding a fitness hybrid would not really know how to use three chain rings. A 1x9 or 1x10 drivetrain makes so much more sense on a bike like that. My wife has a Trek Verve 3. It comes as a 2x9. That's much better; but I will change it to a 1x10 very soon. AdventX or Shimano Deore.

I had lost touch with Victor’s channel. Thanks for reintroducing me to “give me a flake man”. I insist on having a rear rack. They enable me to carry a bag with bike tools off of my back , they act like a rear fender too. Handy for picking up a few sundries on my travels. I would suggest that he upgrade his pedals to a flat pedal with pins.

Bikes there are sooo expensive, even the accessories are very expensive. I just bought one with hydraulic brakes 3x8 speed, lockout suspension 27.5 for less than US$200
