CHAPTERS:
In this video, I present to you a beautiful opening that is not yet known to many, which is called the Amazon Attack. It begins with the moves: 1. d4 d5 2. Qd3. A similar idea is the sunshine (1. d4 d5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. Qd3) played by William Pollock against Max Weiss in 1889. Although this opening is rarely seen in tournaments, it’s very underrated, as white can control the center and develop pieces quickly. This opening is very easy to study and one of the best choices for beginners.

I use it quite a lot sucesfully in the 1800 elo rate as they do not expect it at all though some knows how to punish early queen movements but still its fun. Finally someone speak about it, thanks!

Interesting. My first reaction to the position at 3:45 was "that's no good, you have the fianchetto pawn structure in front of your castled king, yet the bishop that would normally be there to keep your king safe is pretty much locked out of that part of the board." But looking further, I don't see any obvious way for Black to take advantage of it, since their own light squared bishop is locked in by their own pawns.

True, but can still be used by a skillful player to take an opponent off prep. I mentioned that here; 12:42
