The day is finally here, closing! It's a busy day with your sign-off or final walkthrough, settlement where you'll sign a million papers and FINALLY get the keys to your new home! Here is how the process worked for me, what I would do differently on the move to make things easier, and some other tips I hope will help you with your home!

Every builder is different so be sure to check with them if you have any questions about the process for your specific home.

Run hairdryer to heat labels to remove easily. Did not know that!

Moved in August 28 after 20 months. Love the finishes and the house. Still a punch list now after closing. Very relieved, finally. Thanks for all your videos, they kept me going!

Congratulations!! Sidney is great! I just bought a new home and starting at the Design Center with completion in about a year. It’s great to see the entire process and know what to look for. Great video and thank you for sharing you experience.

You signed your contract December, 2020...broke ground September 2021, and completed end of April, 2022. Sounds similar to our experience with Toll Bros . Signed January 2022, broke ground November, 2022. Estimated completion, maybe June, 2023?

Closing day was August 22. But they pushed it to August 25, and it slipped to August 28. Moved in that day!

Closing day was supposed to be Aug 22 but slipped to Aug 25. No Certificate of Occupancy til Aug 28. Moved in that day. 20 months to build in s.w. Florida!

Congratulations. We purchased our home on Dec. 2020 as well and we closed just last month. We have experienced everything you mentioned here. 😂 May I ask you who your builder was?

Same timeline, and it sounds like the same arduous process! Congratulations on finally getting into your home, I know the feeling well! Our builder was Augustine, they are a smaller builder in Virginia. Who did you go with?
