These matte white tins are gorgeous, high quality, and affordably priced! Making candles in these tins is a breeze with the built-in wick center guideline. Also, the raised safety feet make these much safer to burn as opposed to many other tins. It is also worth mentioning how well these were packaged and presented. The presentation is superb with individual packaging to protect each container. Not to mention a few free perks included as well (details in the video).

First of all, I can’t stop binge watching your videos, Wade 😆 I absolutely love these tins!! I was searching for white and somehow Amazon never thought to show me these 🤦🏻♀️ I will definitely be snagging a box or two! I’m hoping they release more colors/sizes soon! THANK YOU for sharing the link to these!!! 🙏🙏 It's been so difficult to find white matte 8 ounce tins anywhere for the past few months, especially in this specific shape and even rarer with the candle feet! I prefer tin over glass for my brand and I'm so tired of the standard silver. I can't wait for them to make more colors options.

Great informative video! Was wondering about any discoloration of wax after sitting in the tin? That rusting look has always put me off of candle tins, is there a coating on the inside of tin that actually works to stop it? Thank you so much for this video, your content is awesome. 👏🏻

Hi Deb. I meant to mention that in the video. I didnt notice any discoloration at all. But that usually doesn't happen until quite a while. I asked the manufacturer if they have noticed any rush or discoloration. And they have not to this point. It also usually happens more with vanillin or citrus. He said these do have a protective varnish meant to help prevent that

Thanks for this review. I love how they look. What do you use to trim your wooden wick? I noticed a candle trimmer down below, but I believe you used something else. Right now I use titanium scissors. Thanks!

Honestly don't remember. I don't use tins currently myself other than just checking these ones out. I think you could sell them anywhere between $8 and $15 depending on your market (and branding)

Hey Wade! Question! Did you test these tins with FO’s with vanillin? I’m wanting to use tins but afraid to bc some of absolute favorite FO’s to use have vanillin. Scared people will see some discoloration and stray away from my candles

A couple FOs had vanillin yes. But that can cause discoloration anyway to the wax. But yes you are right... vanillin and citrus can be a pain. :(

I’m working with wood wicks currently... how did you wood wick tested candle do? What size wood wick would you recommend using?

Well it will depend entirely on your wax. I just grabbed a random one to make a "finished" product for visual purposes. I would need more time to actually dial in proper wick sizing. But even that would be for a specific wax type. It will vary a lot by wax type. I'm not sure what you are using

There are lots of options for wick holders. These specific ones are from acandleco.com. I have reviewed others as well on the channel. Hope that helps. :)

I’ve noticed with other tins they rust with certain fragrances like citric and vanilla. Can you let us know if this happened with any of these tins? I’m looking to put in a large order. These tins are beautiful.

I noticed a little on just one. But others who have used them extensively would probably be a better help. In my experience... every tin I've used has had it happen at some point with some oils

It will depend on your wax. I don't use tins much and when I was testing these out at more about their look and functioning not really proper wick testing at the time. But it will very much depend on your wax anyway

Thanks for the review. I had been looking for tins. Already ordered. Went to the website to order the wicking tools. They have medium & large. Which size did you use when testing these tins? Yours fit perfectly. According to website Large is for 3 1/8" diameter; Medium is for 3" diameter. Tins are 3.15 diameter. Before I order 50 centering tools thought I would check & see if you knew the size you used. Thanks. Great videos!

I am not sure to be honest. I used them for testing of the tins and haven't used then since. I apologize. I just do not know. The ones I have I bought so long ago, lol. You may ask their support as well for a recommendation. Or maybe they will sell you a mix or small sample bag?

What type of wick and wax you use in the tin to test.

Just random ones. They wouldn't be the "right one". I wasn't making these we ith normal product recipes or testing for proper wick sizes. So I just made a few different ones to evaluate the tins themselves more than anything. Plus... and more importantly the wicking would depend ENTIRELY on your wax type so I didn't provide specific wicking for that reason alone. The wicks I would use in one of my waxes in those tins would be significantly different if someone was using a different wax type

I just grabbed problend 600. I wasn't doing normal wick, wax, or burn testing. This was all just about the tins. The wicks were random too. :)

I have not other than typical FOs that like to discolor or rust a bit in ANY tin in my experience. Very high vanillin or rustic. Thst being said.... I am not using any tins in my line right now so I only have the limited testing with these and other tins at the moment.

Hi Wade..I purchased these tins and I am brand new to Candle Making. I tried to purchase an array of wicks…Eco..HTP..LX..CD..CDN to begin testing. I decided to use 6006 to start with..can you recommend what size wicks might work in these tins?

6006 might be tough to wick in this diameter. It will need a pretty large wick so keeping it trimmed will be important. I'd probably start with these and adjust as needed: HTP 126 Premier 760 ECO 10 CD/CDN 10 or 12 Not sure on LX These are just my best guesses. I have used 6006 in these tins yet.

I purchased the tins you reviewed and I do not care for the hot throw from straight Soy..so I thought maybe 6006 might be an easy wax to try..I know you said 6006 might be tricky to wick in this vessel…but I would like to understand why that is the case. I would just like to give this a try… if you could recommend maybe a few waxes and even a range of wicks to start…I just didn’t want to ask you all these questions without paying you for your time.

@@Amderealist I do not use any 6006 with those tins so I can't say for sure. For single wick, I would start with an HTP 105 or Premier 775 maybe, Just guesses. For double wick, I would start with two htp 62 or 73 or two Premier 740. Those are just guesses at starting points. You will want to test and adjust. For woodwicks, same thing... i would try a .04 1/5 first.

@@Amderealist there is no calculation for this. Its whatever you color want to make. Just experiment and have fun. I would try to keep your drops at less than 10 per pound of wax though. just add drops and drop a tough of wax on a paper plate or something to get an idea of the color. Tweak until satisfied

Hopefully they will not steal the scent I’ve had some tins that kill the scent because they say it protects the tin from fragrance.

Interesting. I've never had that experience. So far no issue with these but I can't speak to that long term yet

@@BlackTieBarn the vanilla in fragrance oil does not work well with the varnish they put in the tins the olii tins have varnish in them as long as they don’t have vanilla in the fragrance I believe the should be fine I do like just have to find some vanilla free fragrance.

Not so much better or worse than one another. It's more of a preference. Tins are lighter so shipping is easier and cheaper. But I prefer jars personally
