There’s no magic method to landing a local job as a rookie. Either you go knocking on local doors and one place takes a liking to you or you go and do your 6mo-1yr at a mega carrier and then apply for local jobs

This is all relative to where you live and what the industry is like in your area. I live close to Memphis and the home daily jobs go to people with years of OTR experience, rightfully so.

Don't go to big companies is a waste of time and money. Go with a owner operator that will hire you they are pretty out there.

Owner ops can't and don't provide insurance, paid holidays, short term disability, 401k, etc. Working for a owner op is the dumbest shit possible
