Happy Labor Day Weekend! I hope everyone is having a great Saturday filled with rest, relaxation and some family time! The try-on portion of this video with swatches begins at 13:35 because I started with unboxings, including the coffret box. Overall, I'm really happy with this launch, it's one of my favorites of the year because it feels more elevated. That's not to say anyone needs to rush out to purchase if this lipstick is not within your current budget. My makeup mantra is always quality over quantity, whatever that looks like to you and your collection. I purposely skipped a lot of new launches including the Byzance eyeshadows, PML Mothership, Natasha Denona Nude palette etc. waiting for something like this. I hope you enjoy! xx

These are a luxury buy but I’m honestly tempted to get one (or two) as they’re so beautiful and luxurious. Rouge Privé is such a stunning red and Rouge Byzantin is the kind of vampy shade I adore. 🥰

I bought 1 of the lipsticks and 2 refills and I am absolutely loving them. I got rouge croisiere, Premier and Byzantine- so I got the box too and I love it! I am lucky to have a Chanel boutique near me so I got to go in person and try a bunch of them on. They are all so pretty but this way I ended up with a coral, a red and a more raisin red for winter- I agree with the Byzantine a little goes a long way. I just tap a little on as a stain. Love the way they feel when on and have pretty good staying power if I use a liner too.

You will love the eyelash curler! I have mine for around 2 years now and I think is the best on the market. I have the Dior one because is different but I like this one much more. I like the best Beige Rouge and second Byzantin Rouge. Beige Rouge is absolute stunning! 😍

Yeah, I honestly wasn't planning to buy any of le rouge lipstick after I saw the price, but my curiosity brought me to the boutique today. My opinion- the coffret looks stunning and it’s can be a absolutely wonderful gift, it is also probably an interesting piece for collectors for as well… I’m not collector, I’m very much user :) but it’s nice to have cute addition . Unfortunately the shades that I wanted in refill sticks wasn’t available in the boutique, so I decided to just buy one lipstick in the shade 2 - ROUGE CROISIÈRE and I can say this is a great shade for every day that goes well with the D’ÉQUINOXE autumn collection. So now, I would like to say its nothing very special, but the truth is the formula of the lipstick itself are amazing: ) it’s not only very comfortable in the lips, it’s also actually truly long lasting., and it’s different from other Chanel lipsticks, all lipsticks Chanel great but this one even better :) Yep I’m fell in love…Happy with my purchase and will buy few refills, 5 and 7 beautiful to me, it’s not just a red, I can say it’s very special red because of the formula.

What a great review Erin! Thank you for showcasing the products, swatching and trying on the four shades. I loved the first and last shades the best. I wish these lipsticks were permanent, as the formula looks super pigmented and rich on the lips! I'd want to swatch and see the lipsticks in person before purchasing, especially for the price point. Wish there were more nudes and browns, but Chanel is known for their reds! Lovely purchase!

The Byzantine shade is a total wow shade. You are right about it being a fall colour. Your teeth look soooo white with that lipstick on. Looks sophisticated and rich.

So cool!!! I love the reds. They are really stunning. And of course the actual mirrored lipstick is a beauty. I decided to get the Dior ceramic one instead but I wish I could afford both. Chanel promoted 31 Le Rouge a lot more than Dior did their Rouge Premier. There’s almost no information on the internet about the Dior lipstick, no pictures of the colors, and even when I contacted Dior headquarters they couldn’t tell me anything!!! Such a mystery. Luckily my friend was in Paris last weekend and he got me the super exclusive Rouge Premier lipstick which is only sold in the main Dior boutique. It’s on its way to me now 🥰

I'm happy you did this review because the Chanel site wasn't selling me on the shades. Maybe it's just my computer screen but the pictures on the Chanel site look a bit muted. The Rouge Privé and Rouge Byzantin are going to find a very welcoming home with me next month. And maybe the Rouge Roman. I think I might make them my Christmas present to myself. Going to get the coffret too.

I tested the lipsticks yesterday at Chanel boutique. Ni. 8 is the color I liked compared to all of them. I was also under the impression that it was permanent line, the SA confirmed it was limited. This is quite long wearing. I was able to twist a little bit the refill, but still didn’t get the lipstick.

How long do you think it will be before the full lipsticks with case will sell out? I had thought these would be around a while, so I wouldn’t have to rush before they’re sold out. I couldn’t buy until October . . .

I love the deepest shade on you the most, it looks absolutely gorgeous and so perfect for fall, not too dark! I passed these up online when I saw them due to the price (and bought 3 of the byzance eyeshadow palettes instead lol) but your review is making me want to take a second look! Could you clarify what part is limited edition? Does the case work with any other type of refill? If I take the plunge I wouldn’t want not to be able to get additional refills down the line. Or if they are gonna continue offering the refills, it would make sense to offer the case too otherwise the only people buying refills will be the ones who got their hands on the cases when it was available… definitely a bit confusing!

I went to my local Chanel Boutique and purchased the rouge biege and for the second one I did the Rouge Roman, and I’m going to dab it on top of the rouge biege to make it darker without too much -great review thank you so much. I also picked up the silver case in the collectors box.. I wasn’t going to purchase it, but once you see it in person very hard to resist

Maybe next time you can apply the lipstick without the lip liner then add it once it’s on? It’s really hard to see and know the true color of the lipstick when shown with another color 😢

What’s the point of selling refills if it’s a limited edition? It makes no sense. I love the idea of wedding lipstick but there isn’t 1 bridal nude pink shade in the entire collection.

If the lipsticks are limited edition, once they are gone, the case becomes obsolete, unless Chanel comes up with another lipstick which can be used with the case.

These lipstick are overpriced for what they offer. The shades are not unique but your typical and honestly boring red. I disagree with you that red is the Chanel’s typical color because I still have lipsticks from 10 years ago when they actually offered colors other than red. The only things that makes these $200 lipsticks different is the glossy case and the pending patent on the actual lipsticks, but from what I’ve red in the reviews, they are a bit drying. I’d give $200 for Cander or Catherine but sadly those were discontinued. I don’t get this obsession with red. It’s not like it’s an universal color or that you can wear it during the day at the office. Anyway, thanks for the review.

Too bad the lipstick cases are made of leather. I won’t buy them for this reason. Chanel needs to get with the times.

Dear Erine I think ur SA did u dirty. Is my understanding that every lipstick purchase at $195 comes with their own black velvet case. The coffret bundle (if u will) includes one full lipstick including the black velvet case as they all do, one leather case, the wooden box and two refills. I saw @SaraElBaff video and that’s what she got. Unless u want to buy two it would be good to pose the question. Good Luck!
