Thanks! I totally agree with all your comments. I absolutely love the Water Tint- on the days that I want sheer to no coverage it just gives my skin a magical finish. I tried the Complexion Touch and it’s lovely but I have other light-medium radiant foundations that are just as nice… it’s just not as unique.

Really nice to hear this new product is fragrance free. I hope there will be a change in the luxury makeup products and make more fragrance free new launches. I started watching you tube video's like 12 years ago when I got the diagnose that I am allergic to fragrance in all makeup, skincare, haircare, body care, sunscreens,... ( it is a pity that the water tint is the one with fragrance, that was most appealing to me, but maby they will bring it out some day without fragrance and with te same formula) That would be a dream ❤

What a great review! Love the comps you put together as I have most of those skin tints you mentioned. I’m still excited to get it but I’ll hold off for a bit plus I have N1 de Chanel foundation and Pat McGrath foundation. Lol. I did see @Allfeisty pin both the complexion touch vs N1 together and she mentioned it looked and felt the same. I’d be curious to see your thoughts on it if you have time for that video. This was super helpful!

Thanks for the review. I saw it yesterday in Canada. It’s $75 here. I have the original and think I will keep using it until it’s done. Then I will think about it. It was nice. But I agree that the glow and non coverage is what makes the original so special. I react from a lot of Chanel products so I am glad they removed the fragrance. Super helpful as always! 💕

I think the new product wins because of the fragrance free factor, I have been waiting for some product like this and it has been hard to find! Thank you for the review Sandra! I THINK i will try the Chanel one, because NARS doesn’t have my shade~

The new product is interesting. I have a lot more issues with hyperpigmentation/sun damage and redness at this point in my life and while I love the OG water tint, I *always* have to mix it with something else to blur the imperfections. With the new formula, since it has more pigment, I need way less extra help which totally makes sense. Like you said in the video, is it a must-have? Probably not, but I don’t regret getting it and I am LOVING it for under my cryptkeeper eyes. I was shocked how much coverage I was able to get in conjunction with my CS 3-in-1 SPF! I’m probably in the minority, but I also kind of miss the scent of the original. 🙊

French women do not use cosmetics the same way as American women. French women use foundation very sparingly, only to spot conceal. This is why this product comes with a small brush, to use only where you need it. This is why it is difficult for us to understand the use of this small brush, but for the French it makes total sense.

Hi. Really great informative, honest, and thorough review! You literally answered all of my questions and anticipated ones I know I would eventually have (if that makes sense). I love mixing products and am a big fan of the PMG foundation. I’m curious how u mix them together since the chanel has those little beads you have to mix together. Do u apply the water tint first? Or do you blend the water tint and PMG on the back of your hand? Would be interested to know what application works best for you. Thanks!

i put a pump of each in the palm of my hand, and mix them up first to break up the chanel pigment bubbles and then apply to my face with fingers!

I do like the radiance and the amount of coverage withe the Touch. I’m curious what sunscreen you think works well underneath? I’m having a little adherence issue on my nose.

I use skinceuticals physical fusion right now and have no issues. you can try just avoiding applying the Chanel tint to your nose altogether and use a small amount of concealer instead, gently tapped out with a beauty blender

Hi Sandra, great review. I’ve noticed Chanel are marketing this as an all over veil or a concealer (hence the small size maybe?)… i was wondering, have you tried using the complexion touch in tandem with the water fresh tint? Tint all over and the touch more targeted? I thought this might be a nice weekend combo. I have deep set eyes and dark circles so i doubt it would provide much coverage, but as i get more mature, under eye concealers no longer look flawless anyway (and I’ve tried most of the new releases 😳)… less is more, so maybe this will be a nice fresh combo???

Yes they look very nice layered together! of course it all depends on your needs and concerns. It’s a tricky balance finding textures that are flattering on the delicate under eye area, especially as we get older and our skin changes. On my skin, I prefer the look of the water tint + concealer or water touch + concealer as opposed to water tint + water touch.

Thank you for being honest! I had a very similar experience where I LOVE the tint but found this one to just be ok. I think when they added more pigment it took away what made the tint so amazing, that undetectable veil of perfection. It’s almost like the pigment overpowers it and it becomes just a nice foundation, but that’s not worth the price given the lower volume in my opinion. Was surprised to see every other KZfaq video giving it glowing reviews. Prefer the chantecaille future skin foundation for a similar effect as the tint but with a bit more coverage!

I don't know why, but I have never been drawn to Chanel products and it's not necessarily about price. I think when I was younger I thought of the brand as an older woman's makeup. I've gotten samples of the Vita Lumiere multiple times and I can't remember what about them I didn't like. Anyhow, I feel that the Water Tint is way too lightweight for my taste, but I want to try a shadow palette or lip product in the near future. I've seen both products on you now and I have to say they both look good on you. If I'm honest Sandra, I want to try some Chantecaille things first though. Your review was wonderful as usual.

Yeah I think especially now there are so many brands on the market, the competition is more intense. As customers, we have a lot more options. Chanel relies heavily on its strong brand identity and heritage, and at times it can feel outdated. They’re trying to freshen things up with the No1 range and this water fresh expansion, so will be interesting to see what comes next!

I don’t own that one! Never bought it bc at the time all the reviews I saw preferred the Chanel water tint to the rose Inc, so I ended up repurchasing the Chanel since it was a tried and true fave for me. but stay tuned I’m sure someone will be posting a comparison soon on KZfaq 😃

will depend on the product but it layers fine for me! right now I use skinceuticals physical fusion which is a tinted mineral spf

Given that we have the same skin type, I purchased the Complexion Touch. It is perfection on my bare skin. My challenge is that I can't find a sunscreen that works with it. I've tested it with a chemical (lots of piling) and physical (adding the Touch over it made my skin very light). Do you have a sunscreen you could recommend that works with Touch? Thank you in advance

i've been using it over both Skinceuticals Physical Fusion (physical) and Chantecaille Ultra Sun (chemical) and haven't had any issues. if you're experiencing pilling you can also try reducing the amount of skincare layers you're wearing underneath the sunscreen itself. sometimes serums/moisturizers can also affect pilling. also try waiting a good 15 mins between sunscreen and foundation application and see if that makes a difference

The water fresh tint works beautifully by “tapping” it on the skin. I’ve seen so many videos of people vigorously rubbing in in. Wrong method for applying.
