Another fantastic video MrB!! The Band of the Irish Guards always has excellent Side Drummers! Quite enjoyed the Pianissimo Section when the Lifeguards passed! The marches played were, (Band of the Irish Guards 1) 15:02-Sons of the Brave 2) 18:14-Bond of Friendship (Band of the Rifles) 3) 22:09-Geordie 4) 24:41-Jellalabad (Band of the Irish Guards) 5) 28:46-Men of Harlech 6) 29:58-Guards Armoured Division (Band of the Rifles) 7) 31:00-The Lines of Torres Vedras 8) 32:09-Le Régiment de Sambre et Meuse 9) 34:23-The Prince Consort's Own

Hello Delvin-Pedia! Hope all is Well! I wondered if the Bands would be even more Careful than they usually are when passing a Squadron of Cavalry, after the Recent Event. I like the way the volume Drops & they put in what I shall call "twiddley" bits to keep the sound going but far less likely to spook the Horses. That side Drummer's the Drum Equivalent to Sgt Lockwood & his Bass Trombone! So I've made up a new Title for him, " the Man with the Whipcord Wrists", hope you like it, I just need to find out his name now. I'd welcome your Comments about my Supposition in my Comments viz-a-viz the Bands Swapping over. I hope Life has got less Busy & you've time to take a Breath, unfortunately, Mine is gone from run off my feet to, ' Sleep? what do you mean time to sleep, plenty of time to do that when you've finished the Job, who needs Sleep?". Hope all is well at the Library, 🤗🤗😙😙🥰 best wishes to you & yours as always.

MrB does it again! Invariably in the right place at the right time. I don’t know why the BBC doesn’t take lessons from you! London looks pretty packed, I hope there will be room for 2 more at the weekend🤞 The Band of the Irish Guards, and the Senior Drum Major, are very busy preparing and rehearsing for the forthcoming events yet they still deliver this superb display, even though they must be pretty whacked. As for the Band of the Rifles, I’m worn out just watching and listening! Many thanks for recording and sharing this video👍

Thank you for the kind comments, I'm glad you enjoy the videos. Must admit trying to keep up with the Rifles is a bit difficult, especially negotiating all the crowds at the same time. Still I enjoy it and I'm glad others do as well, not everyone is lucky enough to get to see these events live.

A great Video to watch on a very Busy Tuesday Morning. No matter how busy life is, I need my Guards Fix & today it's my Favourite DM, SDM Gareth Chambers MVO leading my Favourite Guards Band, The Band of The Irish Guards up the Mall to SJP & then down to Buckingham Palace, with The Old Guard, the Welsh Guards. It's Great to see Sgt David Lockwood still has the Centre Berth with his Bass Trombone & his Lungs of Kevlar, Good Morning Sir! Their Side Drummer is very Good, his Volume is great & he holds his Own nicely within the Band. There's nothing Left to say about SDM Gareth Chambers MVO, he is as always the Consummate Professional, Effortlessly Elegant & Attention to Detail making the March down the Mall to BP a very Enjoyable Experience. Always Nice to see a Squadron of Cavalry passing the Band & Old Guard on the Mall, today it's a Squadron of Lifeguards heading to Horse Guards to Mount Guard there. Their Acknowledgement of The Welsh Colour, very nicely Executed. The Band Of Bugles & Rifles leading the New Guard of The Queen's Gurkhas Signals up to BP is as Spectacular as always, even getting a Round of Applause as they March at their 140ppm Rate up Spur Rd. The Cavalry's Horse Guard Guard Change is Completed & the Squadron of The Old Guard of the Blues & Royals are Heading Back to Hyde Park Stables. As per Tradition, the Old Guard leaves BP to their Regimental Slow March, "Men of Harlech" for The Welsh Guards, with the Band of the Irish Guards, before breaking into Quick March to "Guards Armoured Division". This is the 2nd time I've seen the Bands Swap over in the London Guard Change, it looks like perhaps the Guards Bands are leading the Guard when they're Foot Guards & The Band of the Bugles & Rifles are leading the Guard when they're The Gurkhas or Rifles as they both March Normally at 140 ppm instead of the more sedate 116 ppm of The Foot Guards. I know the Band of the Bugles & Rifles can & do Modify their ppm, as can The Light Infantry Regiments, but there's no denying they Look much better working at their Normal 140ppm & it's a real thrill for the Tourists to watch. An Excellent Video as always Mr B! You're losing very little in the Footage by Steering Clear of the Crowds & protecting your Shoulder is very Sensible. With all due respect to the Others who Film the London Changes, yours are the Best, because of all the elements you include, it Chronicles the entire process. This Video follows that & the small differences due to your Positioning are Negligible, all it means is you might not see the Bandmembers close enough to notice their perspiration, but you see them close enough to note Gender, Facial Hair & if they wear Glasses. Just in case you wondered. Great Job & thankyou for Sharing!

I'll have to correct you on the bass trombonist from the Irish guards, that's not Sgt. Lockwood. He's a bit more taller than that gentleman in the middle.

@delvinrodriguez3341 Ай бұрын
Hello again Vicky! Semaj is indeed correct. Mr. Lockwood isn't present in this video. It's a different Bass Trombonist filling in for him.

Thank you Vicky I'm glad you are enjoying the videos. I do try and change them about a bit with various views, but as you pointed out, I try not to get into a very busy areas, well at least until the shoulder is fully healed. Must admit it was nice catching the Household Cavalry though, as I only usually get down for the Guard Change on Sundays, when they do not make an appearance, it was great seeing them.

@@semajbronson21 Hello Sema, Thank you for the Correction. I don't usually use Height as an identifier, because of all the variances in how they record them. Some have high Cameras looking down, some have low Cameras looking up & some are just at Chest Level with other Spectators in the Way. I know both Sgt Lockwoods by sight & have even had brief Comments from David, as far as I know Jonathon doesn't even know I exist. Sgt David Lockwood has moved to the Centre this year as Principal Trombonist & because I saw the Bass Trombone & the player wore Glasses, I was expecting to see David Lockwood there, that's who I saw. A timely lesson not to think, "it looks like a Duck, it sounds like a Duck & it's where a Duck should be, so it's a Duck". I did think the Bass was a bit Quieter, but they did turn the volume down for the Cavalry. Thanks again & enjoy your Week!

They are effectively now just performers for tourists, just like the African drummers rolled out to do their thing.
