This is a fascinating game. Building fantastic citadels, fighting with ships and airships and falconeers. It is so easy to drop into this for a few minutes and then lose several hours. Lots and lots of fun to be had.

noticed some of the settings can you turn combat off completely. Part of the game I'm least interested in. The rest I'm all for

Yes you can turn off Raids and Hostile Encounters. Or if you just want to build the wildest most exotic towers and settlements, then just choose Freebuild, you then don't even need to be concerned with where your resources are coming from. Just build!

How was the end game content though? Reading the reviews, they say that after 1-2 hours there is nothing more to do.

In the upper right it seems to show your population vs others you know about. Like how you can cruise around looking and it appears paused, only passing time with your holdings are expanded or changing. Seamless pause?
