History repeated itself with this one. I'm from Denver, so we lived it, and even as a rival fan, I genuinely felt bad for Raider Nation. Mark Davis hired McD to run a playoff team that didn't need a rebuild. But McD did what McD does, got crosswise with established players, turned over a bunch of the roster that didn't need to be turned over, replaced good players with inferior ones (e.g., ditching Carr for Jimmy G), and here you are. I hope that brighter days lie ahead for both of our teams.

The reason the Lions could be more patient with Campbell is because their team had struggled for decades. He was the right man but he had a much bigger turnaround on his hands and everyone knew it. McDaniels took a playoff team and ran it into the ground.

Mark Davis allowed McDaniels to get rid of Carr. He's as much to blame as anyone else for the team's struggles. Getting rid of Rich after he steadied the ship and won some good games after the Gruden fiasco was also a bad move.

Did a great job filling in and he should have the permit tag off as interim. Josh McDaniels is a good OC but not a good HC and he's no Bill Belichick. I hope he doesn't succeed him in New England. Plus news flash, Will Levis is smiling himself off that the Raiders didn't select him in the first round instead of Tyree Wilson and other teams didn't select him except for Titans dropping dimes of 4TDs. It goes to show you that Las Vegas miss out on that package and it came back to haunt them. Let's see after off season if they go after either Jim Harbaugh or Eric Bienemy.

Called it. McDaniels was a horrible choice from the jump. He got rid of stability with Carr. Has caused both Adams and Jacobs wanting to leave. I just feel that as long as someone with the last name of Davis is running the team this will always happen. We keep hanging on the the past with the Raiders. We've been horrible for so long. Hope that we can get it right sooner than later.

Remember in 2021 when John Gruden resigned and the raiders were a competitive team with Rich Bisaccia! We’re they a playoff team yes. But I do believe he should of had a shot at the job.

If Antonio Pierce can get this team to a .500 record under his stewardship, I'd make him the full-time head coach. Owners don't give quality coaches time to develop their team and players.

Every team that is winning has a “players coach” the team loved bisaccia cause he brought that team together! When a player recognizes that a coach respects them as a human being and not a pawn to their game they will go to battle with them and for them . Raider nation be patient and let’s give AP a chance

i'm a raiders fan but not as knowledgeable on the football side here. But this is my assessment of it: 1. Perfect time to fire as we are still somewhat in the playoff picture. AP has that respect in the locker room 2. We MAY be able to do something this season (though not sure when Aidan Cooper is our starting QB) 3. If and A BIG IF we can get the right GM and HC in for the Raiders, given our team we can easily turn this around. We have a solid team.

This would be a great situation for Eric Bieniemy. A top 5 WR a decent defense and a qb that’s okay and the ability to draft a young qb and develop for a couple years or keep O’Connell and develop him. It’s a decent situation.

It's not complicated...when you have the NFL dynasty in your division, you struggle. What happened the year after the Patriots got rid of Tom Brady? The three other teams didn't have an almost automatic 2 losses, and it wasn't a sure thing that the Pats would take the division. On occasion, one of the teams would sneak in a 10 win season, but they'd still come in second. All three had massive turn over with the staffs and QBs. The issue is their lack of patience. They need to accept their situation and work on developing...McDaniels needed to go but now it's time to build a team, not more quick fixes.

With Carr last year Adams lead all WR with 14 TD, 3rd in receiving yards and was selected to Pro-Bowl and NFL All-Pro Team…it’s safe to say that with Jimmy as QB, Adams is on pace to have one of his worst statistical years...Mark had to see this along with Adams vocal/visual frustration and then for Josh not to bench Jimmy and give the rookie a shot clearly was the nail in the coffin

Raiders need both players and coaches who don't see the team as a retirement community. Too many of these people come to the team and stop playing and just collect their "social security checks" and do nothing but get paid. If I were the coach I would clean house. Beyond all the obvious points made here, the GM should choose the coach, not the other way around. Never give a coach too much power, it will always go bad. GMs and coaches are supposed to be partners, because not all coaches can evaluate, or keep their head about potential talent.

It’s amazing how the only way the Raiders were able to get into the headlines on sports talk shows was talking about the dysfunction that was taking place. As soon as everyone caught wind of how unhappy Davante was, people started talking about our team. Hopefully, with Coach AP at the helm, we can finally get into the headlines for positive reasons, because Raider Nation is getting tired of this shit. P.S. It’s crazy to think how Jeff Saturday’s first game as head coach of the Colts last season was beating us in one of the many games we should’ve have won in 2022-2023. We lost so many winnable games.
