"Maybe they can pay us to go on camping trips" (DCA). That's actually not a bad idea to see the context of how these blades would be best used. A practical demonstration.

We’ve already had this design in this steel for a long time, it’s called the Mora Garberg.

@D00MTR33 Жыл бұрын
@@KMV007 gardberg has a different blade shape (more flat and shorter, rounder belly) and it costs more. I like this blade shape in 14c28n, not just any scandi in it.
@KMV007
@KMV007 Жыл бұрын
@@D00MTR33 The Garberg has a more pronounced belly, that's pretty much it. As for the price, I'm sure Condor will raise the price for this new model. The Garberg has been the same price for the last 4 years (since I've owned it). Even if it was $20 more (hypothetically), the Garberg is worth it, as it has a better fit and finish (grind, handle moulding and even sheath).

In school I worked in the library. I realized you librarians didn’t actually know everything. But that there’s nothing a librarian can’t find out. 🤗 I suggest Peru for a trip where you could use these blades. I’m trying to talk my nephew into starting an adventure/tour business taking us Gringos down there for 10 day excursions.

I am in for seeing Joe Flowers and David C. Anderson camp together. Would be cool to see DCA bring any of his knife designs and Joe bring his from Condor. If I would love to see some demonstrations of bushcraft skills using the blades, discussing how the design choices affect the way you use the knife to perform the camp task, and how much of an effect differences in design constraints due to price point might have on performing those same skills. It would give a lot of context to many of the perennial points of reference discussed when DCA explains what jobs a particular knife would perform well, and it could be a series of videos focusing on one skill at a time, showcasing many tools in each. Thanks as always for the great content DCA, Joe, Thomas, and kc!

A lot of habitat managers are doing a chop and squirt for timber management. The standard tool is a small hatchet, but when hitting trees at a 45 degree to make a pocket to hold herbicide the hatchet wants to over rotate and finish out the cut, leaning a gouge not a v notch. I was wondering what tool you guys would use for this method of killing invasive trees and brush.
