Rocket Mortgage is not very competitive when it comes to interest rates so this credit card is a hard pass. This could’ve been a game changer but those redemption are paramount to false advertising. Five percent should be Five percent period.

I closed on our current home with rocket mortgage and as soon as we got our first statement they sold our loan to a different bank so I would refrain from getting any credit card that you can use with your current mortgage if it’s rocket cause they can sell you at any time

Rocket Mortgage was very competitive. Right before closing I found a better % with Ally and I asked Rocket to match and they sure did!

Chases Starbucks Visa card is being discontinued. I got a letter saying the Chase Freedom Unlimited card is what I will be getting Cards replaced will be starting July 20, 2023

It's a catch card, not wise to be lock in, especially lock in for a mortgage... I prefer transfer to airlines partners cards much much better.

I currently have a mortgage through Rocket, and plan to buy again in the not so distant future, and even I can’t justify this card. Now if Rocket allowed us to make transaction fee free mortgage payments using this card, I’d be all over it, but that’s not likely to ever happen.

Hard no for me. 5x is a clever sales strategy for this one, but at the $95 annual fee, you're not really getting that back. Plus locking the user into going through Rocket Mortgage could easily cost you more than the rewards with the card depending on the APR of the loan. As for 2x back, there are a slew of 2x cards out there that are far more flexible with their rewards. 1.25% is simply laughable.

Im intrigued about using a credit card on my monthly payment because it is such a large portion of yearly spending. But I dont see any methods to do this.

Almost no credit-asset for normal people allows you to pay directly with other credit assets, which is a shame. But credit cards charge the sellers a %, and no bank is going to eat a fee for you like that.

😂 this card sucks citi custom cash is still king 5% cash back on anything only con is the 500$ monthly limit and only on the top category used that month but you can get multiple of them for different categories. This card rocket mortgage card is a nogo

Hmm..... it's only halfway worthwhile if u have a mortgage with them. If you do not have a mortgage with them...then it's really not worth it

Pretty genius marketing until you dive into it deeper lol. I guess it's somewhat solid for Rocket Mortgage customers, but you bring up a good point that it really restricts your mortgage shopping experience, so this may just be a card to avoid all around. Very interesting structure to it though!
